Hello guys, this is my system:

XFX 790i-Ultra Motherboard
Intel E8500 (overclocked to 3.8 Ghz, FSB 2 Ghz)
Dual Nvidia GTX280 in SLI
OCZ 4 GB Ram @ 2ghz (stock speed)
Killer NIC
Thermaltake 1500W PSU
Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit

Ok so basically fellas, I can stay in the game for a maximum of 5 minutes before I get a bluescreen with the DRIVERS_NOT_IRQL_OR_LESS message (something like that, its the common one), and a PC restart after the physical dump is completed. The windows message later does not give any indications as to what failed and even the "Check for a solution online" does not help at all.

Now I have already checked and fine tuned all the settings in my BIOS in terms of voltages and timings. I have had this same configuration while playing AoC, WaR, RA3 and a number of other games and have had no problems at all. Had also made extensive Prime95 testing to make sure that the overclock is fine and it was. However, ever since I have upgraded my RAM about 6 months ago, I have been getting an occasional blue screen once a week or so, sometimes even less frequently, at completely random activities so im quite sure its not the fault im experiencing here with AION.

I completely wiped my graphics drivers (driver sweeper etc) and installed the latest official drivers from Nvidia, tried disabling the SLI and PhysX, reducing the FSB speed for lower clock speed, and also tried reducing ingame graphic settings, none of which made any impact whatsoever.

Anybody got any ideas as what the solution might be? Any input will be most appreciated, thanks.

Dude, your PSU is the total overkill for your configuration.

I am not sure but it's possible that you experience simple volt drops through your PSU, around 800Watt~ would be optimal.

Did you also test your RAM? With memtest86 for example?

This is a driver file, having to do with the "Intel Application Accelerator."
If you know you have this file, I'd delete it ASAP, found within:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers

The IAA is a common problem. Doesn't mean it is though. There could be a few others drivers that are the problem.

Not the psu. Thats stupid to even think a driver crash would be the psu...

You might have to try and catch out the name of a driver if it's mentioned on the bluescreen. Usually BSOD caused by a driver will mention which driver/filename, which helps narrow it down. I had a very similar/same problem which ended up being some bad soundcard drivers.

Maybe you should read the full post, i just stated something i saw in his configuration, i never said it's the cause of the problem.

RAM is known too cause this problem quite often and since he said he bought it 6 months ago i pointed the simple fact out.

Thanks for the input guys.

Ive just downloaded the latest version of memtest 86. On bootup, I get the following options:

1. Boot V3.5 Single CPU [Default]
2. Boot V3.5 Multi CPU [Experimental]
3. Boot V3.4 [Previous Version]

First I selected option #1, which is the single CPU test, and memtest crashed within seconds. I then tried option #2, which makes more sense for my system since its a dual-core CPU, and the test was completed 100% without errors. I then tried option #3, and again, completed with no errors.

So I am assuming that my memory is fine, but I noticed that my nForce drivers are very outdated.

Kamiyadori, would you know the name of the Intel Application Accelerator file in the drivers directory? I tried googling the file name for it but nothing came up unfortunately. I will delete it if I can.

Caedes, I got a huge PSU to basically future-proof my machine. The power delivered from it is highly rated and very stable/consistent, so im sure its fine. Sux to have to get a bigger PSU every time you upgrade components.

Any other ideas fellas? Would it be useful if I write down the full stop code from the bluescreen? Since there is no specific driver name mentioned.

Yeah, the last step would be a complete wipe of your OS. Just make sure you really deinstalled old drivers and installed the newest ones for every component. Sound card driver is one of the things that people forget most of the time.

Okay guys, ive updated all my nForce, Gfx and Realtek audio drivers.

Now there IS a driver name mentioned in the BSOD.

The file that causes the crash is: nv834x64.sys

Im not sure what that is just yet but im about to do a quick search through google. If anyone has any experience with it or any ideas on how to work around it, please let me know.

Its your Killer NIC network card imo. Try different Drivers from the Killer support page.

Yes, you don't necessary need to use the newest ones.

Uh oh, problems again :(

I had previously reduced the graphic settings in the game, just to be sure that my gfx card was not causing the problem. This was before I figured out it was the Killer NIC causing it.

Anyway, after 1-2 hours of gameplay, my game would hang up temporarily, similiar to the way it usually does when you get a "Your graphics driver has temporarily stopped responding, but has restored now" or something, and then it would just crash and I would get a "Send error report" by the NCsoft launcher.

I noticed then that my gfx settings were turned down quite a bit, so I cranked them up to max and put Anti-Aliasing on. I have gotten 2 BSOD's since ive done that.

The first one had this message in the BSOD: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, followed by a stop code.

I went into the Nvidia page and disabled PhsyX, got into the game again, and after 20 or so minutes I got a BSOD again.

This time, the message was: The video manager has encountered an unexpected fatal error.

Im in the process of changing my graphics drivers now, to see if that would help at all. Im hoping that should be enough to fix this. If you have any suggestions / recommendations please let me know. Thanks!
