Hello my name is Superfox. Others know me by the name Baby Jesus, The Second Coming or simply, Fox. I have been getting a lot of questions from fellow Clerics or aspiring clerics that want to be like me. Seems some of the reviews out there just aren't working for some people. So here it is, a guide/review of the best class in Aion, The Cleric.

My Aion profile
My Legion

Psalms:

Psalm 1: Leveling
Psalm 2: Manastones
Psalm 3: Food
Psalm 4: Equipment/Godstone
Psalm 5: Skills/Stigmas
Psalm 6: Party Healing
Psalm 7: PVP
Psalm 8: Titles
Psalm 9: Crafting
Psalm 10: UI
Psalm 11: Endgame
Psalm 12: Videos
Psalm 13: Closing Statement

Psalm 1: Leveling

Leveling as a cleric is pretty easy. No downtime, just heal yourself, pop a MP Pot and your good to go. We do level slower then other classes but its not as slow as most games. If you put the time and effort into it you can level just as fast as other classes. Aion gives you enough skills to level quickly, and with the introduction of new low level dungeons, you level quick.

Psalm 2: Manastones

Oh crap its about to get hot up in here with debates. Good old manastones. The stones that decide whether the person rides the short bus or not. The stones that decide whether you will get 2 shot by the person or kill him, his family and all his guildmates. The stone, to rule them all. Basically, when your leveling Magic Boost or HP. At 50 full HP. Once you get full Miragents set, Full Magic Resist. Reson is Miragents gives u enough HP. With Magic Resist a Sorc wont be able to touch you and you will resist 99% of all CC done to you. Hp Is great for Dark Poeta up to A rank. S rank you need Magic resist.

Psalm 3: Food

As far as food goes Salad is your best choice. Your getting a little fat there =\... Oh ya I'm suppose to be talking about in-game food well.

For Grinding: Aion Armory Item
For PVP: Aion Armory Item
For your DP: Aion Armory Item

Psalm 4: Equipment/Godstone

Chain Mail. Ya I know, unheard of. Use a Mace and shield. You can use a shield after level 10 if I remember right. Clerics that use a staff in pvp deserve to have rocks thrown at them. As for Jewerly, MP is probably going to be the main stat on any piece of jewerly in the game. Your going to want to get the "Caster Type" Jewerly. HP is godly for a cleric but its better to at least get a few useful stats then 1 useful stat and 4 useless stats. So try to aim for caster type jewerly. If its HP with caster stats take it, if its mp with caster take it as well till you find a HP caster one thats better. Most Jewerly endgame has HP and MP.

Godstones for Clerics are basically for PVP purposes only. Silence Godstones Aion Armory Itemin my opinion are the best Godstone for Clerics. You got Blinding Light for Melee and with that Godstone and the high proc rate, you got silence for the casters. The damage ones are nice in this game but not for Cleric. Reason I say this is because Clerics depend more on our DoT and Summon to kill people. When we do attack its only 3 attacks max in a chain till we got downtime and damage Godstones got a very low proc rate. Its better to not depend on a 1% chance to do 2k damage then it is to have the security knowing you can kill the person. Not to mention most classes got a casting type skill so its a win win =). As a side note, dont you guys agree that they need to add some freaking healing Godstones? I mean cmon!!!! >=|

Psalm 5: Skills/Stigmas

Skill's is going to take to long to type out. I'm far to lazy to go over every skill. If you want to see what skills Clerics get go AionArmory.com]. If you have any questions regarding any of the Cleric skills feel free to PM me or leave a reply. I will however explain how chains in this game work for all the noobies.. Ahh they are so cute!!! *pinches the little noobies cheeks* hehe um ya anyways.

Chains are basically like this. useing a skill unlocks another skill which unlocks another skill etc etc. There are ending skills to a chain that have a certain probability to Proc. The probability is completely random. Clerics have 1 skill like that which is Divine Spark. This skill is the only skill Clerics get that have a Probability of going off.

Stigmas

Theres going to be different type of Stigma Setups you want to use for different occasions, So stack up on stigma shards cause you will need them!

Group PVP/PVE

Basic Stigmas:
Splendor Of Recovery- Very nice big group heal.
Blinding Light- Blinds the target. Great if a melee is beating on you in PVP and PVE.
Splendor of Purification- Group Dispell, need I say more?
Flash of Recovery- Insta cast heal that heals for 2k+.
Festering Wound- Lowers Healing recieved on target by 50%. Great for bosses that heal.

Advanced Stigmas
Shatter Memory- Lowers hate on a target. Great so you dont end up off tanking a 50 elite.
Splendor of Rebirth- HoT that gives target defense.
Ripple of Purification- Alliance group heal that heals a ton and dispells up to 3 debuffs.

Solo PVP/1v1/Grinding

Basic Stigmas:
Splendor Of Recovery- Very nice big group heal.
Sage's Wisdom- Reduces casting time of skills. Great for when you root someone then unload on them.
Earth's Wrath- DoT
Flash of Recovery- Insta cast heal that heals for 2k+.
Grace of Empyrean Lord- Reduce Mana of skills. For when you are low on MP and need to pop a HP pot instead.

Advanced Stigmas
Hand of Reincarnation- Self Res for your group member.
Chain of Suffering- DoT
Summon Noble Energy- Summons a orb that does 1.8k+ dmg every 3ish secs.

NOTE: For this build only thing that really can change is when dueling a Chanter. When dueling them switch out Blinding light with Festering Wounds. Festering lowers the amount they heal by 50%

Psalm 6: Party Healing

To compare healing to other games like WoW, Imagine if a Pally had sex with a Priest. Now imagine if their child had sex with a mentally retarded Druid. You would get a Cleric. Single Target heals of a Pally, Group Heals of a Priest and a retarded HoT that is pretty useless. Healing is pretty straight forward. You get fast casting single target heals to heal tank. The group heals is all about timing. All Clerics group heals got a big cooldown, so use your group heals wisely. Most 6 man groups need 1 healer when grouping unless that healer was hit in face by a shovel when they were a child and are horrible at healing. I have healed a lvl 47 Boss with a chanter as backup heals with 14 people in alliance (Mind you the cap was only 45 at the time and there were only 5 45s out of the 14 people). Clerics group heals only effect the people in your group, so the retards in the other group are screwed unless they got a cleric. SO healing is pretty intensive during boss fights if your the only healer. In group PVP its wise to have 2 clerics in party so if 1 cleric gets single targeted by all the enemys he can help heal while the dps rapes face.

Psalm 7: PVP

Im going to break this section of my bible up into 2 parts.

PVP Healing:

Lets me start off by saying it is hard as a 40yr old watching Hannah Montana to heal your group in group pvp. Let me give you some reasons why:

Reason 1: People like to stray away from the group chasing a lvl 40 bot that gives 1 ap, then they cry like a 10yr old girl when they get ganked and are too far away for you to heal.

Reason 2: Everyone targets you first if they are smart. It is hard to heal when you are being constantly stun locked and silenced.

PVP 1v1:

-VIDEOS IN THIS SECTION WILL BE POSTED ONCE I HIT 50 AND HAVE DECENT COMPETION TO PVP. TO SEE BASIC PVP VIDEOS GO TO VIDEOS SECTION-

Psalm 8: Titles

I personally use hp and def titles. Once you complete a Dark Poeta quest you get a casting speed title, use that. Once you get full Miragents you get a even better title to use.

Psalm 9: Crafting

You can master 2 Professions. In my opinion mastering Armorsmithing and Alchemy is the best for Cleric. Reason for Armorsmithing is because majority of crafting gear is really really good. Its cheaper to make your own gear not to mention you can make good money off selling Armor on Trade Broker. The reason I chose Alchemy as second is because most Alchemy items are expensive but really cheap if you make them yourself. For example, Manastones and HP/MP Pots. Not to mention you can make really good money with this craft as well.

Psalm 10: UI

UI is such a simple thing. Many games have mods to customize your UI. Aion does not. One simple yet effective modification I do to my UI is adding a "radar". Basically Make a new chat tab. Edit the options on that chat tab so that it only picks up enemy players (When they attack, use item, etc). Move that chat tab to another spot on your screen and leave it. Now anytime a Enemy player comes in distance and does anything like activiate a buff or use a MP potion, that UI chat tab or "radar" will pick it up and tell you, so and so did this. Remember this game is PVPVE knowing when your enemy attacks is vital when grinding. This simple tab has saved me many times and ruins the chance of the enemy getting the upper hand.

Psalm 11: Endgame

Endgame for Cleric is basically Fortress Seiges, Raid Bosses, Instances, Solo PVP, Group PVP and Item Grinds. Everyone loves you in the party. Everyone wants to sleep with you.

Psalm 13: Closing Statement

-Cleric Videos Made by me-

Psalm 13: Closing Statement

All my sections were based on what I have expierenced so far in Aion as a Cleric. If you got questions feel free to leave a reply and it will be answered. Think I need to add another section? Post and I'll add it.. Unless its a stupid question or section then you wont get answered. I will try to update this guide as patches are released and new content is added. Hope you enjoyed it and it helps you in 1 way or another. If you use this review on another website just give me a little credit =p. If you do repost try to keep it up to date. Please do not change anything I have written. Theres a reason it was written this way. If you don't like it find another guide or write your own.

What do you think about concentration gear when group pvping, does it help with the constant stuns or is the bonus negligible?

Not worth it at all since higher lvl gear comes with it stated already.

"Those idiots should roll a Sorcerer. Remember your a cleric."

I lold'

as for "Psalm 3: Equipment" You didnt say anything about equipment or godstones, I'm really interrested if it's worth wasting stat points on phys crit/physical attack/melee accuracy for acessories to get the HP or if MP might be worth it for magical accuracy to counter resists for roots and boosts for discharges and concentration to avoid interrupts~

For 1v1 world pvp I think it's important to stress that line of sight can be incredibly important, against rangers for example you can simply run out of line of sight when you're silenced, helps a lot-

Also, as for group pvp; I really think they should make heals have maybe twice the range it has now, it feels so limited and confined to pvp with the current range- I can understand DPS having this range on spells, but healing should defineatly be further. And as for being focus targeted, assuming you have a chanter in the group is it easy to keep yourself up with a chanter healing? Assuming full HP gear and using pots/insta heal~

-Added more to the eq section as far as jewerly goes. As for Godstones, like I said in review. You want something with a high proc rate since we dont attack fast when we do attack.
-Forgot to talk about LoS thanks for mentioning it, added

To answer your PVP question, yes its possible if you got decent gear. I have been targeted by 5 people before with a chanter healing me I survived while the dps killed them. It all depends on gear. Better the gear -Better the survival rate is.
