Well I have been playing with a Sorc only once so I can't say for sure, but I think a sleeping mob doesn't build up any enmity towards anyone. If the sleeping mob built up enmity than it would run to a healer after the sleep breaks and would not start attacking the sorc, because healing aggro should always be applied globally.

And that exactly is what I noticed in Aion and that is the way it was in WoW. The exception to WoW could be that a rooted mob builds up enmity towards a healer, but not a sleeping or maybe cursed one.

But that is really no problem, 90% of all the people there didn't have the slightest clue how aggro really works. They only know that it is always the tanks fault if something goes wrong. So for them nothing will change because they are to dumb to begin with.

The other 10%, are educated enough to get accustomed to the way it works in Aion.

I love inventing numbers to prove my point. Makes me feel like a politician :)
Life, is like a grapefruit. It's orangey-yellow and dimpled on the outside, wet and squidgy in the middle. It's got pips inside, too. Oh, and some people have half a one for breakfast.

So are you saying that casting heals/CC on the first mob builds aggro from the sleeping mob? If so, that doesn't make sense and really sounds like a bug.

If you're saying that using a CC skill on the sleeping mob and/or healing the person that did builds aggro from that mob then, well, duh? Every MMO I've ever played works that way.

Thats exactly how it's working in WoW right now, except that Aion got the hate list besides the threat list.

Dude, I know not every casual made to to endgame raiding or even raiding in WoW. But you do build aggro with heals and damage on every mob who's in fight. CC'd or not.

Obviously a bad idea to simply copy everything WoW does because they're "biggest". It is an absolutely mind-numbingly easy, boring, and bad game, regardless of class (now more than ever).

Challenge = fun.

People learning how to PLAY their characters instead of "LOL PvE I'ma faceroll and profit" = good.

You just lost all credibility.

There are over 100 MMORPG's out there right now. And because WoW doesn't have it. That makes it a bug because its the biggest? Because it doesn't follow the WoW mold? Which WoW followed the molds of just about every MMO Before it...?

First Post ... so hi all first ^^

Alot of people mentioned FFXI on the first page and just as a little side note ... in FFXI a sleeped mob does NOT and i repeat NOT build hate against anything you do as long as you dont attack it. The CC spell itself does cause threat against the caster who applies it. I tried that out alot of times ... We had 5 sleeped Puks and i uses Benediction ... no mob went on me ... same goes for Divine Seal + Curaga IV while 5 yagudos were sleeped in a BCNM ... if they would have been awake nothing could have saved me.

In World of Warcraft it is the same actually. You can easily check that with Threatmeters. A sheeped mob only has hate from the mage that sheeped it and it doesnt matter how often the priest heals around the party ... even if he heals the mage that sheeped the mob.

IMO a sleeping mob should not build hate while he sleeps because it kills the purpose of CCing it in the first place. If i need to hold hate on it even while it sleeps i can just normal tank it as well ... and whats the point of using a CC spell to control a linked mob while you fight 2 others and after you are done the half party gets whacked because the mob runs amok.

Just my 2 cents :)

Tbh i never noticed the CC'd mobs run for something else then the sorcs that slept them.
