Hello beta players and non beta players, i was hoping that somebody playing the beta could enlighten us with the details about flying in Aion..

wats the time limit:
wats the cool down:
does the time limit/cool down change when gaining higher levels and/or with items:

any other details ud like to share with us would also be great, much <3

Currently, there's a potion in game that increases flight time by 12 seconds.

Kind of dissapionting to hear the draw backs of flying. I was really interested in Aion, but for me it wasnt the main reason why I was interested. They have mentioned where as you level your flying time will increase, I am sure they'll add items too. Not to mention later updates. I cant wait to see what they did with adding flying in the game mechanics.

1 min flying with 2 min CD is more than enough. We count 5-6 min @ GC07, that was enough too.

+ there're potions, endgame items, etc...

Mm it may increase with lvl too, as you "learn to fly" if you will. And there may only be so many no fly zones b/c its only beta...low lvl areas, or NcSoft didnt want peoel focusing on flying but more on teh gameplay for the feedback they really need.

Ayase told us, the first flying area was introduced last week, so thats why testers wrote something like "few flying areas"..

Exaclty Iyankyi. its low lvl areas and they have limited experience with flight. I was just also throwing out teh idea that maybe NcSoft altered these areas to non flight for beta b/c they wanted more feed back on game play 1st. Lets face it if you could fly from day 1 in beta and thats the big thing drawing you to aion.. whats the only thing you're going to bedoing for 3 hours and telling all your friends about?

I see the fly like a way to we move to a place to another... Anyways i don't actually see the reason to the fligh be so restricted as they are showing for now. It offcourse can be something they are restricting only on the beta and will show better later, specially becousethe point of the beta closed weeks is test specific things, if you allow people to just fly all the time they will test only the flight system.

Offcourse i do hope the fly system time to be increased a lot or i can already forseen the teleports and the long walks i did on Lineage 2 back (1 port + 15 mins walk just to get to the place i whant to do something? hell not again :eek: )

The short flight time and cooldown will add strategy to pvp, because you'll have to fight on the ground /and/ in the air.... Rangers and Wizards will pwn. O:

constant flying would suck. i'm glad its as limited as it is at the mo. Its been stated before and rementioned by Gravity just above: Adds Strategy.

Not a strategic player? most likely the first to die then ^^
