Aion's asmodian area testing is most likely to begin next weekend, 12.8.2007 (Saturday)


엔씨소프트 관계자는 12월 중 <아이온>의 또 다른 진영인 마계 지역 테스트를 준비하고 있다고 밝혔다.
NCsoft personnel had disclosed that Asmodian testing was being prepared for December.


이미 이와 관련된 내용은 지난 11월에 열린 지스타에서 살짝 공개된 바 있다. 엔씨소프는 지스타 행사장에서 열린 ‘유저간담회’에서 지용찬 팀장은 ‘마족’을 12월에 공개할 것이라 말한 바 있다.
Related information also had been disclosed at the November G-Star convention. In a press meeting, dev team leader Ji-Yong-Chan had told the audience that Asmodians were to be revealed in December.

The Orbs are labeled 1st week, 2nd week, and so on. Also notice that the orbs can be scrolled by using the < > buttons on the sides. The page is labeled Testing Guide, not just closed beta testing guide. ( Main->Beta Test-> Testing Guide ) It is highly likely that Aion closed beta still has a couple more weeks to go.

EDIT-[OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT]

The asmodians will be released on 6th week. (begins on either Dec 8 or 9) The players will have to choose either elyos or asmodians to continue playing. Additional 500 testers will be selected.

I think every thursday new testers get added so when that bar gets to the end(which is every thursday) lots of new testers are added.

500 more people were added for 4th week beta. I think they are adding 500 each week. so areas won't get too crowded. Plus, you can only play 10 hours :s per week

That bar has been moving many times a week, it seems. I've seen it way over on the right side before a Saturday beta test and I've seen it where its at now. I really don't know what its symbolizing.

Lets see!

In its current state 100= green-line*7 (I measured!), means green-line=14.28. Now that was the 5th week of beta (now its 6th, but site shows 5, so..), then 5week=14.28 . thats 35days, so 35*7=245days. Thats around 8 months (8mo+1day). November+8 months= July (end of).

So, if that bar really represents the beta period (closed and open), they're planning to release the game on July-Aug! :))

Well, i hope thats not the case:DDD

i was never good with math. ever. so its probably why i went to art school and not smart school, but, i am having a really hard time figuring out where you go those numbers lyankyj >.< is it that green bar that splits up into 7 parts? i could have sworn 've seen it at different fill amounts. but my eye-witness accountability is probably are reliable as my math ;)

Yes, I too fail at all things algorithmic. Also have total recall of all things imaginary, as well. Gogo Liberal Arts majors!

Anyways, I'm sure it's just a counter for the progress of that week's beta. I don't think it would be all too wise for a company to release a "progress on the game bar" when something could easily go wrong or need total revamping. That could destroy the hype if the bar would stay still (or even go back) while they're fixing it. ;o

So, yeah, just my random opinion.

Thanks again Elliot, I really appreciate the time you take to translate things. You're a great addition to the Aion community.

On another note, I really hope that they change the formula for the release date when they make more progress. Hopefully NCSoft will cancel some beta stages and merge others if the progress goes well.

Yes I know there is another side of that coin, but I don't really want to go there :P
