Farming Craftman's Ore....possible?

I dont think there are any extenive drop database yet.
Hopefully it will get better in retail.
Its been rumored that some mobs have a higher chance to drop a specific craftstone than others. But i dont think its been confirmed.
There is also the possibility that craftsmans stones is made to be rare, to prevent people farming them and crafting full critted sets at all craftlevels. Just a guess though. I played Lineage 2, another NCsoft game. And in that game you got you level 23 weapons at level 30 etc, unless you bought ingame money for cash.
I guess we will see what happens when retail hits and people start to care more about money/equip.

I can understand the rarity part but getting all these mats together for a "chance" at a blue is dumb. I barely got enough Craftman's to make one shoulder piece. If you make it this hard to gather all these mats for a "chance"...its just easier to use the AH and level then mess around with crafting until you get near the cap.

I do agree with you, when retail hits I will try to craft as much as I can. But if these stones are still that hard to come by I think ill just craft regular greens to level with. That way its gonna be alot cheaper and I won't loose money/time on low lever armors. And if some of the gear crit blue ill just be happy :sparkles:
But at 50 its a whole other story, but then you cant outlevel your equipment anymore.
Ill be happy getting some items. Again talking about Lineage 2 you could actually fail a craft. Most crafts (higher level) had a sucessrate och 60%. If you failed your craft you got crystal at 1/2 (something) of the items ingame value. Thats like 1/4 or the real value. That sucked bigtime....:dazed:

im currently checking myself whats worth crafting and what isnt. so when retail hits i wont dump money on stuff ill replace right after.
about craftsman stones.. i think some mobs have an higher chance, but current armory doesnt show a real updated droplist.
what i can say is that harder the mob higher the chance, so far. i may be wrong tho.

Well by level 25...me and a friend were able to collect 6 Craftman's Armor ore and 5 Craftman's Accessory ore....which doesnt make much. Is there any mobs that has a higher chance to drop them? Aionarmory isn't much help.
Until the drop database is more fully loaded, we won't know which mobs in particular even drop it - let alone which drop it most often. It is possible to "farm" these, but you're looking at killing hundreds of mobs regardless. Once you find a mob that drop it, farm that mob.
In C-Aion with a mature server and a thriving Auction House, it is easy enough to purchase all of the mats needed for crafting gear. However, that won't be readily available for NA until probably two or three months after launch and you'll have outleveled that gear anyway. On C-Aion, it's relatively "easy" to have a full blue Craftsman's set at 23/25 and full crafted blue weapons at 25. It costs a bunch, but it's doable. On NA, I expect folks will be well into their 30s before the 20-something gear is even craftable.

This is why I plan on leveling 8 toons at the sametime on the same server so that by the time they are all in the 20s some stuff will be there at the AH. How long would 8 toons take to get to lvl 20?
That depends on how quickly you generally level. Most people can do 1-10 in 2-3 hours. From 10-15 can take 4-5 hours. Getting 15-20 can take a few more hours.
In all, 1-20 can take anywhere from 12-25 hours depending on how much you're gathering, questing, crafting, and if you have an xp grinding party together or not. It will also depend on your class given DPS will level much more quickly than tanks and healers.
You could have five characters to 20 inside a week if you're hardcore.
For people who enjoy playing the game like you, the Daevanion Armor set is definitely doable and would save you a ton of crafting time after 30.

This is almost confirmed: Mobs that are in areas where you can gather ore have higher flux stone drops than those that are nowhere near those nodes. ;)
If this is true then its good if you want to farm for fluxes. But where and who confirmed it?
