howdy folks.
awaiting the release of aion and not playing wow no more, and being dissapointed by hellgate and tabula rasa, I decided to give L2 ago.
I am enjoying very much ( btw does anyone see the resemblence to archlord with it) but i do not have many folks to talk to becuz of being new and without a clan.
I am on the TEON server and my name is asridan.
do you have or know of a clan i could become apart of pls thanks :D

Have fun, but its a huge mistake to start playing from scratch on a retail L2 server :O. Its going to take you a really long while just to see what the end-game is already about, and 95% of the retail servers are all at end-game.

You should look into a private server with increased rates, unless you're willing to give L2 a long term play.

If u start on Teon try to get in some big clan Academy. First u need lv 20 after that join a caln academy u can get a Top D Grade Armour for free depends on the clan.
Well lets say u have made the best choice to play on Teon u will find at any lv players because its so over populated.

If u still dont find any help ig pm me here on Forums i have sure some stuff for lowbies.;)

Power Leveling.

Find a Prophet that can buff you till you reach needed level :P

L2 really isnt the right placeholder till AION comes out...

we have about 6month till AION arrives i think... hmmm maybe u can make lvl 70 in that time if u play alot and get ur gear from other ways (ebay :p)...
if u wanna earn gear legit then u will never reach 70 since it is almost impossible to get agrade stuff legit :P

u should have asked before...

but if u take it serious there are ways to get u to endgame in no time and i dont mean botting...

get 2 accounts and lvl a buffer with u... with lvl52 u can tag buffer out of party and will lvl twice as fast...

problem will be money and gear thats the most time consuming part in L2.. so yes buy adena and get gear...

join a big clan and kick ***


if u dont wanna invest to much in the game its also ok... just enjoy the content for ur lvl... there are lotta small neutral clan.. join 1 make friends and have fun... u wont see the endgame but u will still have ur fun

Run 3 accounts and box a prophet and a shillien elder. Problem with L2 is that it takes months to hit high-end content and years to hit max lvl. Especially with the new 85 max lvl. The ONLY good thing about retail and THE reason I haven't deactivated my account and played L2 Supreme full time is that new patch with the new race. Which is only a matter of time for private servers to get. Supreme L2 is a cool server though. Its a low rate 15x server and free. I'm having fun on it. BTW I play Sieghardt server so I can't help you out on retail T_T

Unless u want get banned ofc yes and if u gonna use it never use oog its a free ban, ig is a little bit better.

just use common sense...instead of grinding have the walker do it for you and watch it...its easier than doing it yourself...

theres always a risk of getting caught, but if you do ingame its really hard. I wouldnt trust going away from my comp while it was running.

the irony is... now even with walker ( bot) or equivallent the spots are filled with either farmers or players bots groups, hence you cant even "bot" in peace past lvl 70/74.

though you dont absolutly need 2nd and 3th proff to enjoy pvp..

The game its now pretty easy till lvl 40 even without a buffbot with allt he herbs you loot. Still they made it eazyer to lvl but the money/gear is still a problem even bigger now that you lvl faster (even with shadow weapons and the subguilds system). past lvl 40 you still need a buff bot ( or just get into the rift and randmly group.

Overall the game is a lot eazyer now till the lvl 60ihes. even without cheating you can make it in less than a month when you needed avor 6 monthes 3 years ago. And if you have high lvl friends ( like a destroyer 78+ ^^) you can get powerlvled really really really fast to 75+

LMAO actually AL was based on L2. I think AL came out about Episode 3 or so.

But yeah, if you're having fun go for it...but honestly you'll be way behind the high levels unless you bot, PL or just plain buy a toon. And now all the fun is in the high levels. Sieging isn't fun unless you're at least level 76 anymore.

imo nothing is fun below level 75 lol...say the population of teon is 2000 online right now, about 1/3 are afk, 1/3 are bots and the other 1/3 are high levels pvping/doing high level quests.

You'd seriously be lucky to find a dozen people on each server that are low level and not botting, its quite rediculous...you would probably have no fun at all and be doing everything on your own.

actually no, lot are still on subclasses from 40 to max lvl, and eventhough you lvl faster alone from 40 to 60 ihes alone with buff bot, getting into groups is still a plus further. Its all about how you enjoy the game.

See i did play L2 the same as you ( but on retail) rushin max lvl and not hesitating to bot when my insane playtime wasnt enough to keepup anymore with bots ( although i knew how to use them since early C1). I was one of the highest lvls of siegheart when i quit. But still there is plenty to do at mid lvl.

Private server are fun for what they are, but you re experience in ther is not revealant from the retail... i played both and thery are 2 totally different games ( hell even private server are different from each other).


PS: i remmember my first days in l2extrem back in the days when the server was new and not yet overcrowed... running after players to pk them and seeing them running away yelling " plzz stop i dont want to loose xp" in a server with something like xp *50 or something like that... made me laught ^^.. that was jsut for the story, not all are the same and i played in some very fun.

LOL get a clue calindor its not eu prime time and Teon is better then every Freeshard. You can wherever u want and what ever time and u find actually ppl to play and then try Kain and u will think its a bad freeshard.
