Gameguard, legitimately you cannot go across the road. Unless you pull over the fence with barbed wire and continue on.

Because the internet is so troublesome? For all you know they've "invented" a powerful/shortcutting netcode for people in the same region that could all but erase the posibility for their to be latency issues. If you are playing on a Computer that you don't want to connect to the net... O_O... whatever.

I don't think that's because Blizzard is scared so much as it's because it's just plain inappropriate.

Newsflash -- you also can't use the NBC forums to advertise sporting events on CBS, and you can't put up a Pepsi billboard on the side of the Coca-Cola corporate headquarters. lol

It's a business, plain and simple.

Reminds me of how SoE started threatening to ban anyone who even posted about not liking the NGE on SWG. Heavy-handed moderation is heavy-handed. Not a fan of memes, but it fits, so there you go.

Yes, I do collect Care Bears, thanks for asking. Good Luck Bear, to be precise. It's an inside joke stretching back to my childhood.

It's always been against the Terms of Service in the WoW forums to discuss other games.

People got banned for Everquest, Everquest 2, Lineage, Lineage 2, Warhammer, Eve, LoTR....

The biggest buzz that I saw on the WoW forums was for Warhammer. I haven't seen the same level of posts for Aion yet. It may be that they've gotten better and faster at deleting these posts and banning the posters. The WoW community team does have a few years under their belt now for enforcing their forum policies.

If you want to test it out, when your ban is up, you can post about Everquest 2.

Just to let you guys know...

Blizzard is making approx. Eight billion, one-hundred million dollars a year.

Any business being taken away from them, even if it's only a hundred million a year ( lol :dazed: ) then they'd be pissed and greedy about it.

That's kind of extreme, considering their guideline says it's ok to talk about other games, not just other Blizzard games.

Thats funny. anyone see the youtube vid of Hitler hating on Blizzard about SC2 and how they took LAN out. if not i suggest you look it up. its hilarious

BTW, i only stumbled onto this game because of the massive amount attention on the Warhammer forums comparing this to WAR and saying this is better. I can see why blizzard would ban you. if they would have banned the post on the warhammer forum i would have never even known about this game.

Yeah, true. Blizzard does have a bit of a rep for banning people for no obvious reason at the drop of a hat. I guess that's what happens when you have an 10 million strong bunch of unruly 12 year olds to look after. ;)
