Really nice read
The best thing about insanity is that you're the only person not bothered by it

A lot of good information, but stuff like the combat log alert works both ways as well.
Really though, the concept of the game is about the conflict between the races, it would be kind of sad to see players running for the hills whenever the enemy rift in.

I know since I am on the first page of a many page thread that this has probably been commented to death already...
You should always run first, determine how strong your opponent(s) is/are, then decide on the best course. 6 coming through a rift could kill 25 by doing it 1-2 at a time... but if the first one that sees them RUNS screaming for reinforcements then their stay couldbe very brief!

The slayer system isn't going to bother PvP focused players at all. They're there to PvP, all this is going to do is possibly make it more intense, which is what we want anyway. Watch how much this system slows down rifting.... it won't.
But, hey, at least a guide like this provides the opportunity for carebears to be prepared. So, when I see QQ in the forums about rift ganking, I can point them to this guide. O.o

Also many thanks from me for this superb guide!
Sidenote to the never ending story about PvE vs. PvP ;) :
Even though this might be totally not comprehensible for most PvP lovers but there actually are people out there (like me) who just love to play PvE and don't really care about PvP. How can you judge those people and tell them not to purchase and/or play Aion?! I mean that choice should be made by them and by them only! If I decide to spend as much time as possible in Aion doing PvE I don't wanna feel the need to justify my decision. I just love playing co-op with my friends and prefer to kill NPCs/raid bosses instead of real players that's all... where's the shame in that?
Don't mean to be the bad guy here, just wanted to get that off my chest :) .

Fair comment thovader, I'm sure others share your sentiments.
I think the important thing to remember is that, even in the heat of the age old "PvP versus PvP" argument, there will always be a time when everyone needs to solo grind a little bit in Aion to make progress, so it will be important for people's own sanity to make a good "anti-interruption" strategy in advance. It's not a difficult thing to do, it just takes a bit of thinking in advance so I hope the guide does help with this :)
