Sorcerer or Spiritmaster

Spiritmaster for me, under one condition... The pets are their primary feature. Hunter in WoW had 10000 other features; traps, feign death, traps, run buffs... >.> Warlock pets couldn't be relied upon, they were kind of weak. So if spiritmaster is truly a pet reliant class, I'd much rather play that over sorcerer.

Spiritmaster can support not just healing, but tanking and even being DD or Nuker. Plus I liked Warlock and Elemental Summoner a lot in L2, and I love the idea of watching your summons evolve, knowing that it looks that way because of your hard work....

I had to roll out the Spiritmaster. "Why?" you ask. Well, let's get on this list.
What is the Spiritmaster's main roll?
Kick out some DPS while looking cool. Sounds like the Sorcerer I suppose, but Sorcerers don't have pets which = not able to look as cool nor are they able to maintain the DeePeeS while Multi-Tasking
Aren't these 2 classes the same?
Yes.
Okay, well, we have the same class essentially. One, however, has the ability to unleash the beast. Also, I have heard from Closed-Beta testers that they are easier to level. I'll be honest here, a Mage will probably my last class to finish, I like the challenge of leveling and the experience of slower gameplay at the beginning, but after leveling 3 or more characters, I'll be kicking and screaming for an easy mode leveler. This is more of a "me only" thing, but perhaps this will help shed some light as far as those who are undecided.

I choose Sorcerer, because i'd rather blast on something my self. the Spirit beast look cool as hell, but i believe in my own power:D

Any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again.

1) I'd rather play a true DD in the long run. And I could see myself 2boxing 2 sorcerers. But I'm hoping they expand the classes to more than 8 so I wouldn't need to box an identical character.
2) Pets are fun to play but I loose interest in playing them over time. One of the cool 2 box combos I used to use in L2 was the dual warsmith. Bring out both pets and boom.

I've only seen spiritmaster things but i would choose it over sorc since I'm a loner so i guess having a pet to play with would be more fun, but then limited to only four spirit pets will really bore me even though they can evolve into cooler looking spirits I'll probably go for a class that can pvp on its own.
Most mmos "summoners" the player is usually killed pretty fast since they have pets to help them they probably wouldn't get much defensive skills for themselves and people ignore the pet which is a smart idea when pvp.. lo!

My first creation will be a SM. I like to have summons that do my work. Magic and/or Summons always are my first choice. My 2nd choice usually goes to a other ranged class. I never really liked to stand close to my enemies. I rather have them death before they even get a chance to reach me.

Talk about a close poll...that surprised me.
