i just want to ask something , to craft a top grade you have to gather all matterials, thats simple, then you need to craft a weapon ok then you need more matterials and the weapon you just crafted to "upgrade" it by a craft to a better weapon and if you get a critical craft you get a even better weapon ,
is that right
plz make me an example
is there any possibility that the craft fails and you loose all the matterials (like l2) ??
or the craft always is succesfull and you get a chance to have a critical craft (if you are lucky) ??

the standard is collect materials and craft weapon and it will either give regular or critical result
but in some cases you can upgrade either result. sorta like....
.....................double critical upgrade
..................../
......./ critical \
mats.............. critical upgrade
.......\ normal /
....................\
.....................normal upgrade
and sometimes can upgrade the upgrade etc etc... it makes the op of the line crafted weapons pretty rare but they are also extremely powerful for their level as well.
sorry for the dots dunno how to space it without

Well, you do have the possiblity of failing at the crafted item and losing all the mats involved. Just a risk you take when you craft. The best thing to do to minimize failure is to be a good 10 to 20p above what the receipe requires. Yes, as you get higher you have recipes that require a certain crafted item, as well as, gathered materials. Check out the armory database of recipes and you will see them. Kinda like, you have a recipe for a green item. If it "procs" you get a blue item. Later down the line you get a recipe to make that blue item a better blue item, but you get the bonus of making it orange if it "procs". IF is a big word here.. :> Here is a random example off the armory.
Aion Armory Item
If it procs you get
Aion Armory Item
Now, if you a really lucky or have a great legion you get the recipe for this...
Aion Armory Item
This of course takes the Noble one you crafted earlier to make.. and if you get really lucky it will proc and you get...
Aion Armory Item
Hope that explains it out a bit for ya.. :>

ok i understanded a lot !!!
but there is another Q what are the chances of losing the craft inc matts, and what the chances of crtical succes,
and in other words is it worth it or you can simply aviod crafting weapons and go str8 for AP items???

the success/failure is just like gathering, with the 2 bars.
if your skill is high enough to get high quality results with any certainty the chances for failure will be near negligible and your skill should be that high because training is much much cheaper and rewards most of the plans as a bonus.
after you make an item once you kind of unlock the better version at same time then its basically hoping to fill up 2 bars before the red one is finished. It's a lot like ffxi and wow crafting combined

I'm sorry for posting a second question in this thread, but I can't create my own thread and it vaguely matches this one. Very vaguely. >>
Is it possible to craft Extendable Weapons as of patch 1.5? So far I haven't seen anything that confirms or denies it, and I would really like to know. :X
