Aion's in the last stretch of releasing and other guilds are forming so it's about time to get the RP formed up. So far, myself and fellow RPers are moving from Triniel, there from CB, to Lumiel the "unofficial" RP server.

Figured it has to start somewhere. Also, to fellow RPers looking to start an RP-based guild. Friends and fellow RPers are welcome and it won't just be RP sitting around. I plan on having us move through the game, enjoying the story and the RP along the way.

Anyone got any questions or comments?

Riiiight.... not a legion discussion but ooook. And yeah, Lumiel is most likely the "unofficial" RP server.

xxxx is a good place to go for RPers, and it has the vote for the servers so you can vote for your favorite.

Lumiel is the unofficial RP server. Why try and have two when everyone should be on the same one?

Let's be accurate. Lumiel is not THE unofficial RP server. It is AN unofficial RP server. As of last count, approximately 250 people voted on ARP, and about 2/3rds chose Lumiel. A block of RPer's moving from another fantasy game, numbering about 700 has confirmed they are moving to Zikel. A fairly good number, about 200 from guild counts on the several MMO guild sites (guildlaunch, guildportal, etc.) have decided to go to Israphael.

So we have 3 servers. I think as a full community RPers need to come together and vote a server. Stop splintering. And the so-called community leaders need to stop all the 'my group is best and so we're doing what we want to' crap. That's not leading.

We don't have much time to do this in.

Don't know what you're talking about, but I agree with you're idea of a single server to begin with. That server being Lumiel now, and I'll have my guild there for the launch.

Why would you RP?, what that meant when i was younger was, you would play a game and have fun in an immersive world. Now, these day's ppl cyber as RP, which we call "ERP". I think RP is absolutely disgusting. I'm not picking on anyone, but really, why do we need to cyber?If rp'ers really need to do that to enjoy life then..damn. You guy's need a life. It's downright embarassing to yourself and others.

Immersion roleplaying has nothing to do with the cyber/ERP that you attack. People here are setting up a roleplay server for immersion, not for cyber.

In City of Heroes, it seemed like people ERP'd more than they did RP on the RP server, at least at a specific place. There was a night club called Pocket D, where heroes and villians can meet at one point, (since heroes and villians aren't allowed on each other's base of operations.) This really gave people the opportunity to play the drinking game (RPingly) and then proceed to cyber (RPingly). Sorry for the bias, but I really hate this. Why come into a video game to satisfy sexual desire? There are free sites and programs for that.

Doing it through tells is one thing, but most people do it publicly, and no matter how many people I ignore, it seems we get even more ERPers the next night. :sigh:

ERP =/= RP

RP to me is just putting yourself in the characters shoes and acting it out as to how it would be, I like it and that's why I do it. I'm sure other RPers know what I'm saying and agree on the bigger parts, but I just enjoy seeing other perspectives and playing along with other like-minded people in a server, that's what this thread is for, putting the word out that there will be a "unofficial" RP server soon. And NCSoft said there will be a poll later on today "European Afternoon" for the servers to vote for RP in. I'll post when that arrises or once I get wind of it.

Now ERP is another story all together and I'm not going to get into because this thread isn't about ERP and has nothing to do with it.

Why the heck would you make such a ridiculous and ignorant conception such as this? I mean, grow up, people that RP now days dont just cyber you moron, I find you to be a real judgemental person after posting such a statement. I know that all the RP I have done in games, hardly anyone cybered, if I wanted some action I would just call my girlfriend and tell her to come over. It is obvious you have no life if your going to be posting retarded comments such as this. It's people who have as much as ignorance as you do that disgust me. Grow up kid. Now I do agree however the whole cyber thing is really odd and yes it is sad if you have to cyber and cant get laid in the real world, but hell, people do weird things even in real life so whatever gets that person going thats their business, not ours.
