You don't need to forward any ports, and I doubt doing that would make your ping better. If Aion needed any ports forwarded it would probably just not work without them, not have a big ping. (I'm behind a router and only use port forwarding for p2p file sharing, nothing else really needs it).

Just doing a small comment on that, DWD YOU knead to read some books....
First of all, a router is a layer 3 device IT DOES NOT PROCESS PACKETS IT ONLY LOOK'S AT THE HEADERS, that's why its called a router.
knowing this and knowing the structure of a packet, you can manipulate what y'r sending to the network and optimise the packet as you want, ROUTER WONT MODIFY IT !!!! layer 3 works the addressing (for you'r knowledge witch is none, is more than enough)....
I don't know the windows structure since I work only with Linux\Unix systems, i cant tell if that config influences the operating method of the windows TCP stack.

Whoever said this doesn't work behind a router is completely wrong. After using this I'm on a steady 28-36 ping coming from 140.

This fix was amazing! i had been lagging for several months each time i checked my /ping in-game; i would get around 350-500 ms. Now it dropped to 30's and 90's. Thanks for sharing, sign up just to say thank you ; )

All in all, I recommend against this sort of thing.

BS from clueless people. Using this for years, Aion ping ~300 -> 150-160.
