I hope this works while I have Gamepath as well. I'll try this later at home. I'll inform you guys if I won't have problems.

Will this get us banned? I heard that LowerPing and stuff like that is against the ToS.

I want to make sure before I use it :D

Sadly, this isn't working for me. I'm EU based, UK, and before this I was sitting around 280-350ms and afterwards I still am. A guildie in England gets around 40ms and a friend in the Netherlands gets around 80-140ms, both on the same server as myself. I've tried the other standard suggestions such as turning off my firewall, no anti-virus software, etc, and nothing seems to be fixing it.

The ping is hardly noticeable in PvE, but when it comes to PvP.. well, that extra 200ms I have compared to my opponent is very much noticeable and extremely annoying at times.

I'm working with Vista 32-bit and BT Broadband 20MB. I have no lag issues like this in any other games, where my ping generally sits around 50-120 tops. (oh, also, I have the wireless homehub, however I'm not using the wireless, I have it directly connected to my comp.)

I'm really not savvy when it comes to things such as this, so if anyone has any suggestions try and keep it as dumbed down as possible!

NCsoft has said that routing services like lowerping are NOT against the ToS. Also all this does is set the OS to not group packets for efficency and rather just send packets as it can, thus increasing speed for things like MMOs and shooters.

This worked for me. I am using Windows 7 RC.
I was sitting at a constant 350ms before this and now I have a constant 150ms.

I tried this because I was getting lag spikes while grouping in the lava caves,
and from what I can tell this has fixed the issue.

This worked wonders to steady my ping. I was getting pings from 19 to 250. After i applied it i was 19 to 70, very much so more stable.

CONS! (thats "bad stuff" FYI)
If you have this applied and try to do anything else on your computer (File Transfers, Stream a video) It will overwork....something....and it will DC you from the game for not having a consistent connection. Mine crashed my connection at about 150megs of a 300meg stream, and DC'd me from the game. As soon as i closed the stream, i connected back again.

Windows 7x64, Quad Core 2.83, 8 gigs of ram.

If anybody else has this issue, let me know....I May also have a bad mobo (its new) so if this is just me i may troubleshoot :d

Hi there. I am based on Brazil and use to have 350-700 ms by the time the game went live. So i decided to try this fix and got a stable 400 ms ping.

Now I am under 150 most of the times since I am using Smoothping. You should give it a try.

Damn... reading this I felt like I am doing some marketing shyt for those Smoothping guys lol.. But the metter of fact is it works.

I play on Lumiel which is and eastern server, and I live on the west coast of Canada...After doing this my ping went from 450ms to around 130ms.

Stupid question time and don't laugh, at least out loud!
Will improving the manner in which my machine deals with the packets provide an increase in FPS as a result?

Just tried this, THANK YOU! Before this fix my latency was all over the place other than where it should be. I was doing constant /ping and getting 100 200 900 800 766 125 650. Now im steady at 140ms with hardly any variance like i should be. So much better.

tried it.

will post back if it works

EDIT: It works well on Win7 32bit.

I noticed a considerable increase in stability, and I no longer rubberband back 5m when putting my wings back in to run on the ground!

Worked swimmingly for me! What a difference indeed, going from 300-320 ms all the way down to 80-90 ms.

My sorcerer's casting looks like he's on speed now ;)

Had to create an account just to say, it worked. Behind a wireless router using XP SP3, it dropped from 250-400ms to 85-120. It's fairly solid in the 85-95 range too.
