Not sure if this has been asked, but does anyone know how the weapon sheathing system works, is it like in WOW were you can there is a button available or is it like LOTRO were you cannot unsheathe your weapons and they only are taken out in combat.

I did watch this video

Aion - 10 Minutes with a lvl 5 Elysean | Videos

and at 4:13 or so, saw that talking to an npc made her sheath here weapons. Does anyone know how it works?

Also on another note, the sheathing style of duel wielding looks pretty bad ***. Definitely like the animation of the sheathing of weapons, especially for duel wielding.

I'm pretty sure that in most cases it is optional and can be toggled by simply pressing a button. There are, however, most likely going to be Quests and Towns etc, that force you to sheath your weapon somewhere in the game.

Hope that helps..

I agree with Dynasty. Expect it to function much like WOW does.

From the countless videos I've seen, they seem to show that sheathing and drawing your weapon can be done at will. However, I am not certain about the ability to toggle with a button, although this seems highly likely.

I think that the combat/passive mode activates the sheathing/unsheathing. When you are not engaged in combat, one will have the weapons sheathed. While engaged, unsheathed. But a button to control if you want to have your weapons one way or the other in the passive mode won't hurt.

It sure is ;)

Sin ftw.

Anyway, yea I hope it's as simple as WoW is. A simple press of a button.

It doesn't really have any effect on game mechanisms, but I like it when u can sheath/unsheath weapons; looks kinda baddass ^^

I've been having a hard time compiling videos that show the character sheathing and/or unsheathing his/her weapon. I've seen the two-handed sword, but I have yet to see other sheathing animations such as a one-handed sword and shield. I'd also like to see the sheathing of polearms and bows as well.

If you know of some videos that show sheathing of weapons, I ask that you share them!

Polearm will be a grab behind the back, flip of the weapon using the wrist, and you're ready to go after grabbing it with your 2nd hand. That's my prediction, at least.

But yeah Ken I'm interested in seeing that as well, and it would be great to have a key to toggle weapons out or in~

Yeah I hope Sheathing and Unsheathing weapons won't just be like a quick movement of the arm and it looks like at 1 seond you reach behind your back and the next split second your back to normal with the weapon in your hand... It should look more smooth o.O, also add weight to it lol, grab a huge 2 hander out of your back and you stand still doesn't seem right, lol, it should like throw you off balance a bit so you'd have to like step forward or something =0
