Its rather unsettling for me to hear all the players who have decided to play Elyos talk about how "evil" us Asmodians are, and how our landscape is "depressing".
Maybe I'm not normal for wanting to be an Asmo? I think the look of the Asmodians, their land, mane, pointy ears, glowy eyes, bat wings, and so on is beautiful! ^_^

But the most upsetting thing for me is when I hear, "The immature players will play Asmo".

The two biggest MMORPGs out there right now that specifically place you on one alliance or the other are, CoH/CoV, and WoW. I have played Heroes, Villains, Alliance and Horde extensively, and I have to tell you folks.. There are immature players on every side!
There will always be the "LOL OWNED U" jerk who kills you unfairly, and there is always the little kid who just doesn't know how to play, but likes to brag that he does.

I just wanted to see if any other Asmodians are also hurt by fellow gamers who are dying to play this game bashing us Asmos in more ways than I feel like bringing up. :[

yes i ran across a lot of those also: we the ugly, evil, immature kids that we all are Oo. while they see them self's as sexy, intelligent, normal, older adults...........kinda sad and funny at the same time. Are we not the same people from all walks of life choosing toons in a game seperated by a inmagenary fence, the type of toon u chose does not reflect the type of person you are. Perhaps you are a good person that finds playing a dark soul exciteing or vice versa. People have and always will put up walls and cast stones........End of rant

TBH, I could care less what people say about my race. Truth is in any MMO immature people are not tolerated to well and will often find themselves bouncing from legion to legion. Only thing I can hope for is when I do play I find myself around people who are mature and like to have fun, but it is impossible to run into that one person who thinks he/she is the best of the best and your always the n00b.

Every game I have played, the little kids usually pick the most human looking side. In WoW, I found much more noobs on the alliance than the horde. Don't get me wrong, there were immature players on both sides. I just usually find significantlyless idiots on the darker side.

Elyos look like angels and Asmodians look like demons, but neither one is the "good" side. They were once the same race. The fact that they will be perceived as evil and aren't is what draws me to the race. They're the underdogs, the downtrotten, the rightful rulers of Atreia!

w00t w00t asmos are grt in my book, i feel more attached to the asmos but most of my friends wud prefer to play elyos cuz they like their normal feet lol (u kno asmos have claw feet lol). It really just comes down to wat ur looking for in ur char. If its realism or fantasy. Fantasy obviously being the asmo by far (if u ignore the wings on both sides). Its all cosmetic. U will find the same ppl on both sides so just enjoy whichever side u choose and kno that the opposite side will kill u callously and without remorse. Then if u so happen to go to that side i bet u will make friends with the very person that camped u bcuz u will realize its all just role playing lol.

No need to be hurt by this, kitten. Based on my experience, you shouldn't be too worried about kiddies on the Asmodian side. I played WoW for 3 years now, and I assure you that most of the idiots, N00bs and kiddies are on the alliance side, and I doubt this will chance with AION.

I do like Asmodians, too - it's just that Elyos fit my taste better. I'm a sucker for angelic wings, so I there...

If we define normal as "What the majority of players like", then indeed - you are abnormal. Guess what - normal people are just that - normal. Be proud to be different :3

Having to deal with the same negativity in RL on a day to day basis I find the problems the Asmodians feel are really no big deal.

It might help you though if you take a more pro-active approach to it. *points to own sig*

Kids are everywhere to be honest don't be hurt by which side say is evil and good because there isnt any good or evil just different points of views. Asmodians do look very good in my opinion but iv played Dark class's in most games and would like a change or i might make an asmo alt on another server.

I just really hope it doesn't turn into a brawl between the players, like it did in WoW.. in CoH/CoV it wasn't so bad.. and I'm hoping Aion will follow in those positive footsteps..

it just depends on the cool factor... in WOW .. everyone and thier F'n mom is a night elf rogue, or a blood elf something.. why because they are the coolest looking characters? (i could careless - Undead Priest FTW) anyways.. Asmo's look cool, kinda vampire-ish and Elyos basically angels.. I plan on having both if that is possible havent read where if i choose that faction then on that server it remains that faction.

Plus yes i will be making an asmo alt if i can it's best to see both sides of the story rather than one and the community here is pretty decent so i doubt there will be too much hate when it comes to the battles in Aion.
