OKAY gang I was getting this error for ages and was waiting to see what the devs would say until I took matters into my own hands. I thought it had all gone wrong but it worked out fine so here's what I did...

1.So I went to control panel and uninstalled the launcher. BE WARNED that it will ask you if you want to delete all games installed through the launcher. For the love of god hit NO or you'll end up DLing the whole bloody 12gigs again. It will ask you to confirm this action so just take your time and read the boxes 3 times over before you click just to be sure!!

2. Restart your machine

3. Go to this link NCsoft Launcher | NCsoft and install your launcher once again.

4. Start your launcher and let it update itself.

5. For those of you that previously had your AION folder named AION (North America) and you are from Europe you'll need to go to your directory and find that folder and rename it AIONEU thats with no spaces as you can see...if you're American then ofc it shouldn't apply. If you dont do this then because you're in Europe it will try and DL the whole game client again into the AIONEU folder in the directory.

6. At this point go to install your game through the launcher and it should automatically DL the 5.2MB patch, patch the game and be ready to launch.

It was plain sailing for me at this point and I'm about to start making my toons. If any of you have questions then feel free to PM me, I'll be checking this thread too and if an admin wants to stick this post/thread for other people with the same problem should this post be a fix then that would be great :)

i did all of that but when change the name it couldnt find it then when i search it it was the but it was looking for the north america bin no eu and it says my conatian is eu
