Did number 6 and found that my best ip was the one I was already using. My ping goes from around 130-250 while I'm playing, but I get occasional lag spikes and text delays on quests.

I have run a hardware check through canyourunit and I have well above spec on in every department. Have tried adjusting graphics, turning weather off etc. My spikes aren't major but I do get them during combat (1-2 seconds) and this will be fatal later on in the game.

hmm go to the driver sweeper one and follow it.

also make sure your drivers are updated.

How will I know which drivers arent meant to be there?

I think my problem must be connection because I am getting around 25 fps in towns and up to 60 outside them.

I have an NVIDIA card and when I ran analysis outside of safe mode I got alot of ATI results. Are you saying I should remove (clean) all of them? Will it hurt to do this outside of safe mode?

yes remove all the ati drivers. thats why you are having errors.

and the reasn you do it in safe mode is so you dont pick up any misc. drivers.

in safemode it only loads the basic drivers needed to run the computer.

so go into safe mode and remove all those ati drivers and you will be up in no time!

alright im 95% sure it will work.

My FPS has more or less doubled and I had no problems whatsoever with rubberbanding.

However it is 0547 here and the server was very lowly populated due to that-I will have to play at a peak time to be totally sure it's worked. Either way thanks!

moved ut to aion/L1on

I've finally got my problems fixed, but it took an upgrade of my CPU, Motherboard and RAM to do it. Unfortunately I'm not sure which part was the guilty party but it does prove that not all of the problems causing the CrySystem.dll errors are related to graphics card hardware or driver issues (whether the card be an ATi model or no).

I've been having loads of patching problems since i have reinstalled windows and aion yesterday. :(
The first error I got while patching was that there was something wrong with ''xdelta.exe''.
I couldn't find any fix for that so I decided to reinstall the game. But it gave me the same error.
I downloaded the patches manually from the links in your post and that seemed to work and it all started to update..
But now I can't get 1.5.0.8 installed and it gave me error after error. If I check for updates it says: ''Error during last operation''
In my error log this is my last error:

Unable to contact game patch server.

Please check your internet connection or try again later.

If you want to skip the update step, force a launch using the right-click menu on the game list or main button.

I guess it means the updating servers are down, but I very much doubt this is the problem as I've seen alot of more errors before this one came.

Do you have any manual download link to the 1.5.0.8 patch so i could try and see if that fixes it again? Or do you maybe have a other solution to fix this?

Oh and I don't know if it makes any difference, my game did work before i formatted/reinstalled my computer.

So I've been playing Aion since last Friday and I've been having some trouble with my connection. My latency tends to swing from 100ms to 3000+ms, disrupting almost everything I do in game. When my latency gets high I tend to get disconnected from the server as well, which of course pisses me off, haha. I haven't encountered a problem like this in any of the other MMOs I play on this computer so I'm a bit concerned.

I tried your #4 solution, and got rather discouraging results...

For each IP, I would get the following traces:

#1 ~15ms 10.229.176.1
#2 ~9ms 69.63.242.78
#3 ~15ms 69.63.249.62
#4 ~23ms 64.71.241.118/69.63.249.242/69.63.248.42 (For the first IP, second IP, third IP)
#5 ~27ms ge.10-14.br02.ash01.pccwbtn.net [63.218.94.117]

At that point the next 25 traces would time out...

What does this mean? What should I do? Any help would be much appreciated!

well the simplest thing to do is restart your modem.

if that doesnt work we can into more complicated details.

Heya,

I have tried installing it from my CD's, and installing it through the NCsoft launcher.. both i get problems while updating.
To be honest I have only had this huge error once and the one I'm getting now is a more common error people have had the beginning of this month but nobody really said it got fixed.

When I check for updates, it says I need to update so i do that and get the error:

Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

When I choose to Repair (Consistancy Check) i get this error:

Error Code: 5 (RepairPatchNotFound):

There is not a repair patch for version : '1.5.0.8'.

The patch servers are most likely in the process of being updated.

Please try again in a few minutes.

The people in http://www.aionsourc...chnotfound.html had the same problem but never really responded if the fixed it. To be fair I haven't tried what Livvy said there. I will try it later today in the exact same steps he says, but I haven't got the time at the moment as I need to go to uni first :) Unless somebody comes with a better idea ofcourse!:)

Edit: On a side note, maybe it makes a difference. I just did format and reinstall my computer. Am I maybe missing some driver or something? My OS is windowx xp and I do have service pack 3 installed.

EDIT: My game is working! :D I had to use a friends steam account to download the game :P and that seemed to work and update my patches! :D! me so happy!
