Hello I have installed and updated aion but when after I click the play now button. The game hangs on the splash screen before the game even loads up it just hands there with the picture of the angel.
I have unistalled it and reinstalled I also I have left it at the screen to see if it would continue to the game while I was asleep for about 8 hours. Still no luck I have updated all my drivers. I have turned off all my anti virus. I am now downloading the new vista Service pack 2 to see if that helps. I have read many forums none seeming to have my problem though my comp specs are as followed
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTS graphics 1g dedicated graphics
4g ram
Intel Core Duo Processor
2.2 or 2.4ghz processor dont remember which
WXGA 1440 x 900 high res moniter I am playing on the FX Gateway gaming Computer if you would like to read more into my problem
I have contacted the Ncsoft tech support and they said to try and update my video driver and download the service pack2 which I am now downloading. The farthest I have made it loading up the game was to the NCsoft logo screen maybe 3 times and all 3 times it hung there for at least an hour until I decided to give up. Please help me if you can

im having the exact same problem on my GFs laptop. Its running fine on my laptop and her desktop. I have updated all drivers, reinstalled probably about 5 times, i even copied the ncsoft folder on my computer and transffered it on to hers figuring that would fix the problem. Nothing i have tried works. I even tried uninstalling her virus software and the game, then reinstalling and patching the game before reinstalling the antivirus software. NOTHING is working.
The weird thing is that the Aion.bin file is running if i look under processes but the client doesnt show on the task manager, just the launcher. The it seems that the client just wont initiate, and the .bin is using a decent amout of memory....
Any ideas or fixes for this!?!?!?
Thanks!

Glad to see somone is at least having the same problem I am, Well... not glad but just relieved i'm not the only one. I have tried talking with ncsoft also and they just continue to tell me the same, update drivers and such, I have done all this and nothing works, Game installed fine on GF's Desktop but not on my laptop. I went through the closed beta and open beta with no problems, this didn't start until the game launched for the public. Thanks for putting my problem into better words than I could, Maybe now we can get a solution.

try this.
delete the whole bin32 file located in the aion file.
then go to nc launcher and right click aion and repair.
this normally works. hope it does for all of you.

Well I had the exact same problem as you guys and even went back and forth with ncsoft for while before they finally sent me a fix......
Hello,
It looks like I was finally able to narrow down this issue today. It appears to be laptops with Conexant sound cards. It appears this card has a problem initializing for use with Aion.
Please try going into the Windows Device Manager (Press the Windows Key and 'Pause" on the keyboard - this will load the system properties. Then on the hardware tab click Device Manager)
Once there click the plus next to "Sound, video and game controllers". Then right-click on the Conexant sound card and choose disable.
This should allow you to load and play the game.
In order to try to get sound to work for the game however you will need to contact your laptop manufacturer for information on updating your sound card drivers. Otherwise you may want to consider a USB sound device such as USB headphones.
This worked for me, Hope it can help you guys.

Mines still not fixed. I am running two clients. NA and EU. Installed NA first with steam and it worked fine. Then I activated my older EU account and updated it. Now both arn't working
Both hang on the NCsoft splash screen. Tried the del 32 bin and it still didnt work. My computer is a AMD Athlon x2 3.0 ghz, 4gig DDR2 800mhz, win 7 ultimate, Ati 5570 1 gig. Please help. thanks
