Hey everyone :)

Just wondering on everyone's input. I've read around and the main manastones clerics use are: HP, MP and Magic Boost. I heard the MB doesn't apply to making our healing better - correct?

If the MB doesn't apply to healing, I would either use MP or HP. I want to be 100% healing priest. Not sure what's better. Any ideas? :)

These posts below yours may help answer your question.

My personal recommendation is HP, HP and moar HP.
Thats likely the most common answer you will get when asking what a strictly healing Cleric would choose.
As a secondary, most say MP, Shield Block or for some reason Magic Boost.

Thanks for the helpful replies =]. My first initial thought was HP as well, I then asked my boyfriend, and he said well I would go MP, because in raids you won't want to run out of MP, then the whole team will die. Sooo I'm not exactly sure >.

In groups you wont run out of mana providing you're aware of your regen mechanics i.e penance and mana treatment. Between the two of them you should NEVER run out of mana when healing unless things get really ugly, then simply drink a potion and you're fine again.

Therefore, for group play you want to ensure that you're one of the last ones standing if things do turn nasty. If you can soak damage like a tank then the criteria is filled! HP for group play is the only manastone you will need.. however:

You will most likely not live your life in groups until later in the game. Aion is too solo friendly at earlier levels to rely on groups so for this I'd recommend half HP and half Magic Boost. You'll kill so damn slowly without the MB that it'll just drive you nuts.

@Kawaii: Thanks for posting those links, gave me lots of info :).

@Smidge: Yeah, I understood your post. I don't see WHY I would do that, considering this is a AION forum, for CLERICS, so I can ask any question that I'm unsure of and know that I will get a correct answer, instead of me googling my question, and searching through links to find that 90% of them are useless. No need to be a prick.

@Carthel: Thanks, as I'm only level 19 and haven't learnt new skills since 17, I didn't really know about the priest mana renewal skills, until I read around a bit :P. I'm probably 90% heading towards full HP.

For manastones you want to stack all HP. Later down the road, and if you're lucky enough on drops, you can switch to full magic resist for PVP. You don't need to socket MP because you have so much regen, as already stated. On your jewelery items, such as rings, is where you can get MP stats from. And yes, MB does NOT affect healing.

Alright cool =]. So umm, with my armour, I would add every manastone I could with HP. What about when I buy rings/necks/shields/belts. Should I go for the MP+ bonus, or the HP+ bonus?

Yeah stack all with HP. Obviously go for whatever is the best upgrade for you, but yeah I'd try to get some MP off of your jewelery pieces if you can.

Well as said above penance pots and treatment...never out of mana. If you don't have a lot of HP though penance can kill you so I prefer HP stones, plus when the s*** hits the fan I can cleric tank spamming heals and soak damage while the tank and DPS gets things under control.
[edit] I look for concentration foremost on my accessory slots, sucks having a needed heal fail...

Yeah it's generally a bad idea to use penance around the levels when you first get it but it gets better later on. You can also rest during combat, and you can gain lots of mana by sitting occasionally when healing is slow.
