Hi there,

I just built my own computer, I thought It would run Aion great during heavy fort battles but I was wrong, even in medium size fort raids its ok but not that great. Im looking for advice to how I can improve what I have or why I get terrible fps even on lowest setting and shift f12. It seems other plp have no probs playing in those heavy fort raids. Im not not sure what to do its very disappointing

these are my specs:
windows 7 home premium 64-bit(6.1,build 7600)
X58 PRO-E
intel core i7 cpu 920 @2.67GHz (8CPUs),~2.7GHz
6g of ddr3
ATI radeon HD 5870
I run it on a 36 inch T.V with lower res, 1360x768

My system is just like yours, mine doesn't perform that well either.

sieges are not going to run well no matter what.

when you see videos of sieges that look like they have good fps, guess what? they usually have sped them up to give the illusion of good fps, but they perform just as bad as anyone else's PC.

i still want upgrade my comp.
i have :P5K SE, Intel core 2 Duo CPU E4500 2.20 GHz, OCZ2G800R21G,OCZ2G800R21G, OCZ2T800C42G, OCZ2T800C42G, GeForce 8800 GTS 512, ST3500418AS 500GB

i think build on core i5/i7 will be better then q9550?
i need CPU, MB and RAM.

On the whole 'my rig is good but sucky in sieges' front I'm sure this has been discussed elsewhere but is there any point in slotting in an SSD for the OS & Aion for the read speed improvement?

Currently I'm running:

i7 920 @ 4Ghz
XFX HD5970 BE @ 825Mhz GPU clock & 1100Mhz memory clock.
6Gb Corsair Dominator DDR3 (1600Mhz)

Siege fps hovers in the early teens in the boss room so it's not bad but crazy slow for the spec of the machine.

I've only got a 1Tb WD Caviar Black disk in there atm so disc speed wise I could improve a lot but is there any point?

Hmm, thats a good question. I do remember them discussing whether it would improve performance but sadly, it will only improve load times. Im actually surprised your system doesn't do any better. I would turn off any AA and glow effect.

This has to do with the fonts. You have to download which ever font type it is. I think its veradan or something similar. Then place it into your aion directory. I wish I could give me exact info but I haven't played in ever.

Greetings everyone, I am playing on private server called Infiniteaion (ofc maybe u will just ignore because i am some kind of private server user etc..) But problem is we have just updated to 2.5 and i have insane low fps, like 2-8 in (no town zone) and 1-4 on pande.. Thing is i searched in this forum every possible way to decrease lag, and it didn't worked, i even bought gamebooster premium.. That didn't helped at all too. I will show you my PC.



As you see my PC perfectly supports recommend settings. On 2.1 I got lags too but more less, like 10-15 fps

I've questioned other people they said they even have better performance as they told they have even worser PC then i do.

I will link you my Internet speed.



Please help me, i know i am playing on private server but i think that won't be a problem to solve this.

BTW i deleted not useful stuff on my HDD, even cleared my desktop properly. Same lags...

Well 2.5 has a great graphics overhaul. So its more than likely the graphics bogging your FPS down. It wont be your connection otherwise you would see ping spikes and game lag. Just try turning down settings.

Well you see, i was playing on lowest resolution, lowest graphic settings, tried windowed, not windowed modes, and still i get lags, i even cleaned out my PC today that there wont be any dust.

I got this question on other forums like Infiniteaion, i thought they are friendly, and answer my question. But seems that you one r helping me, I'm thankful for it.

Is there an NA aion online atlernative download anywhere? When I download the game from NCsoft it restarts when in finishes ._.
