I am going to bot.
Wait wait, hear me out here.
I've been reading so many threads and hearing reports from so many people complaining about the same bots never being cleaned up, players staying logged in for 24 hours a day killing the same mobs tirelessly, obviously getting caught on terrain for extended periods before "correcting" themselves, and other such obvious botting nonsense. So I'm going to do the most blatantly idiotic thing I can think of:
I'm going to bot, and I'm going to begin the process of reporting myself through petitions both in-game and in the support on the website, including emails for taste. I expect the latter will get me auto-responses, but hey, it adds lulz. The ultimate goal of the experiment is to see how long it takes me to be banned, if at all, before my subscription time runs out.
Edit: I thought better of not including this. Do NOT contact about me about how you might acquire a bot, how to bot, or anything of questionable intent. I'm also removing my messenger data from my profile on this website to prevent anyone from circumventing possible security on this website.
Suspicious people may refer to:
"I really don't mind if you're suspicious. You're totally welcome to be suspicious!
But don't come into the thread five times a day and announce how suspicious you are. You already announced you were suspicious, and we all understand: you're suspicious.
If a week from now the bot still isn't level 33, then you can be as openly suspicious as you like. Until then super serious suspicion is super, super seriously annoying."
Bot leveled. Shut the fuck up.
Day 1: Botting begins and concludes outside Beluslan. First thoughts? This thing is hilariously bad and about as subtle as an elephant. If a target is out of range of the first macro skill the character will head in a bee-line for the target, ignoring terrain. This means a small bush gets me caught for at least 25 seconds before it autoselects another target in range. If not it'll turn around and run straight in the opposite direction, possibly into walls if no targets are available. It repeats this, over and over. This is the most obvious thing ever. Perfect! The day is over after about 12 hours of botting total; I'd bot 24/7 but unfortunately this updated version of the bot interferes with other programs on the computer, since all it does is enter keyboard commands. If I tab away from the program it keeps attempting to enter commands into whatever window I have selected, such as a forum prompt. ;p If I had another PC to use that'd solve the problem, but alas I do not. This also makes using two accounts at once impossible for me at the moment, at least with this program.
Day 2: Botting to begin again in the same location beginning at... nap time! Those of you who reported me are encouraged to return and do so again when specified. I'll enable the bot whenever I plan on being away from my computer for an extended time, usually when I'm out of the house or asleep. I'll attach time stamps when the bot is enabled and disabled.
Bot currently enabled[7:18am Central]/ disabled[10:30am]. Enabled [12:16pm]/ disabled [Unknown]; looks like a crusader disrupted the bot with some duel requests at some point. Claim your high five in here!
Day 3: Bot enabled Midnightish. Disabled whenever Elyos came in and smashed my face off.
Day 4: Bot enabled Midnightish again. Disabled whenever Elyos came in and smashed my face off, again. Leveled to 33. *moans suggestively at a certain somebody* Return to corpse on death just won't work for whatever reason. Bot keeps AFKing after death.
