3rd) I renewed by subscription but nothing happened when I logged into the game.

Perhaps, I'll have to wait a certain "X" number of days to receive the Veteran awards?

err, the only vet rewards I had heard of were a hoax/account phishing attempt.

I highly doubt Aion is THAT desperate to start trying to give Veteran awards the first re-subscription. Maybe in a decade then they would truly give rewards to VETERANS.

I think the E-mail wasn't a phising attempt, but I'm not clicking any links on it.

NCSoft have been giving free goods on K-Aion here and there so I think it's legit, but they must have screwed up E-mailing list or something. And you know how long they took to get the headstart / CE goods details out to us.

but meanwhile - do not click on any links if you receive the email! Until there is something up on official homepage.

ITS NOT FAKE/PHISHING, geez, use your brain. Just check if the link in the email is REALLY the ncsoft site and if the sender is *@ncsoft.com, if it is its 100% safe to click it, stop being a drama queen.

Mine ends Oct 29th due to the 7day bonus for pre-ordering. So a large chunk of people might also have those 7 days.

Yeah, same thing here. 9 more days left. Which is probably the best thing about the pre-order, 'cause I really do need the extra 7 days to decide if I'm going to stay.

Do I have to renew a subscription or is buying more game time enough? I don't want a recurring subscription and prefer paying separately whenever time is about to run out. I don't want to miss any rewards due to paying for the game the "wrong way".

the from in the email is the easiest thing to forge, however forging that and sending an email from an IP not allowed by NCsoft SPF Record will automatically block that mail as spam on most places like hotmail, gmail, etc.

The only thing you really should do is look the links in it as he said and make sure the last part of the hostname in the part http://hostname/path/to/page is ncsoft.com.

This was already brought up a day or 2 ago on these very same forums. Ayase from NCSoft confirmed it is legit and not a phishing attempt.

Yeah, looks like my free time ends on the 22nd. Makes sense - I hope they're not pulling my leg because looking at the rewards got me excited, lol. ^^;
