You should try increasing your camera distance so that you don't have to look back and forth as much. Also, pay attention to your movement directions, you don't want to be casting when you have moved backwards or sideways as it reduces damage by a large amount. Something around 70%? Otherwise, very good video and helpful for those that think they have the patience for this.

As for this, if you had watched the entire video you would have realized the OP stated that he was experimenting with some macros to auto tab target between mobs so they don't reset, further stating that he prefers manually tab targeting without macros.

Hey all,

@ Gravitas & Goop
The action bar you see in video is my 'Sixth bar' (Shift+6) obviously i dont use this bar in pvp or normal pve situations that would utilize my 'first bar'.

Reason for setting this is purely for the well being of my poor fingers and wrists =) i only effectively use the 3 spells, so all i have to press is Q E C which is my mapped keys for 1 2 3.

I never knew aion has this mechanic, so those little yellow direction arrows i see, if people do physical dmg during the phase where those arrows are up u do 70% less dmg?

I agree mate, AION needs to put more value in grouping, soloing is just way more effective and efficiant. I know they are improving quest exp but evan so.....

Learn2Read Title is GRINDING. Honestly anyone that doesnt use macros for grinding is just asking for some kind of joint or some other kind of finger muscle disorder because of the amount of grinding needed in this game. Why would you want to push 5-7 buttons when you can just push 1 and accomplish the same thing? For example if it takes 600 mobs to level and you use 8 skills per mob thats 4800 times you have to hit a key. Which is easier hitting 4800 keys or hitting 600?

AoE grinding has been a joke and non-existent in any MMO since the early days if Everquest. Im sure if you played you all remember the days of living in Old Sebilis or if you were really harcore Charasis hard wings. Your group: 1 bard or sk, 1 cleric, 1 or 2 chanters, 2-3 wizzies/mages. Proceed to pull 100 mobs at once and kill them all like they were nothing. Once cleircs got all their spells like reverse DS, reverse procs, and offensive procs they also became AoE machines. Pull 100 mobs solo and end up full health just for laughs. Untill I see something like that in this game there is no such thing as AoE.

because grinding is already boring as fck, if i start to use macros i might fall asleep.

Nice finding but not that impressive really. How much total time is needed to kill 4 mobs? I see 5 min on video and they are at half hp only. For example I kill most elites in Lepharist Citadel within 2 minutes, 2.5 minutes for tough ones (like Defence Commanders). So within this time limit there would be 2 dead already and 1 half dead, and I don't use running scrolls and mana potions. AoE here is not effective at all.

I think that this approach could be used for normal mobs but rewards not pay all the hassle. So not worth it.

He can't PvP with his 6th shortcuts setup? Oh boy, that's terrible! How could he possibly switch to another shortcuts setup when he want to PvP?!?!
I read on the internets that there's not enough room on the shortcuts bars, it must be a fake video! I don't believe it.
