For example, I might use Robust Blow V skill attack on a glad, it says it does 335 - 484 damage, I have a polearm which does 160 - 297 damage, how much damage will I usually do with this skill attack on a non crit and crit? The actual polarm stats i'm using btw it's lahus, a blue level 32 polearm.

Now take the first example but I've got a better polearm, the level 46 gold polearm of rank 3 soldier, this one does 220 - 413 damage, i'm using Robust blow V again, how much more damage will I do, will it be a lot more, or will it not really make much difference?

The second polarm is way better than the first but I have my doubts that it will significantly increase the damage.

well, the actual damage shown on your skill description usually includes weapon damage, and modifiers (not sure on the modifiers, but believe so), so its usually reflective of the total damage you are doing with that skill, before opponent modifiers are taken into account, not the base damage of the skill itself.

In your case, Robust Blow V deals 173-177 damage, based on the skill description in aionarmory. If you add your weapons damage to that, it totals up to 333-474. so you have an additional damage range of 2-10 that i unaccounted for (+attack perhaps? or other bonuses). but aside from that deviation, your basically doing the skill damage plus weapon damage. so your gold polearm should do around 383-590, an addition to the small percentage of additional that im not sure of where its coming from.

the additional damage range ended up being 0.6% on the low end, and 2.6%% on the upper end. if you factor that in, your damage with robust blow V with the gold poley should be 385-605, =/- a point or so. so yeah, that gold will blow your blue out of the water.
