I'm trying to craft the shield and for some reason it says i don't have the required materials. Says I'm missing 4 Expert Major Armor Flux, but here it is sitting in my inventory. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Some guy from my legion had a similar problem. He had some fluxes that did not want to stack at all although the name was the same.
Another guy noticed that the item IDs in the chatlog were different so that means they are actually different items alltogather.
Since there are Elyos and Asmodian paterns(although they depict the same item) I assume(not really sure and its just a stupid idea) that there are Elyos and Asmodian versions of the said fluxes. The problem might be that somehow the server messed the side on which the flux droped.
Anywayz...stupid idea but it might be a somewhat logical explenation. :study:

Yes it's not the crafting that don't work, it's the flux. I would destroy them so that it doesn't get circulated around. Or you can sell it cheap to another poor bastard. An easy way to spot these bad flux on AH is that they are listed separately from the good flux. As if these are different items. It goes somthing like this. The last two would have been the bad fluxes.
Expert Fine Armor Flux
Expert Fine Armor Flux
Expert Fine Armor Flux
Expert Fine Armor Flux

Expert Fine Weapon Flux

Apparently there are two different kinds of Expert Major Armor Flux. One to craft the level 30's Adamantium stuff and one for the level 40's. They are neither bad nor bugged.
Uhh....and you call this not bugged because?
If it reads something and it does another thing that its bugged...hell...its the definition of bugged :).

the recipe is bugged you need the higher level flux that drops off of higher level mobs then the one you have now.

Not really sure what your point is. The Armory clearly lists two distinct Expert Major Armor Flux with different level and craftable items for each. While the Armory isn't always 100% accurate, but it seems that in this case it's probably because the OP have 4 level 33 Expert Major Armor Flux when the recipe requires the level 43 ones. So how is that bugged? If you meant "bugged" as in the developers should've named them differently like every other fluxes out there then I do agree, but until someone can prove otherwise, it seems to be working as intended: two different fluxes with the same exact name.

It's simply misnamed, it's suppose to be Expert Superb Armor Flux.
The only way I know to tell the difference between the proper Expert Major Armor Flux and the 'wrong' Expert Major Armor Flux is either seeing if it shows up on a design that would use the level 43 flux (which should be superb), or look on the broker and you'll see some listed at level 33, which is the level of major flux, and some listed at 43, which is the level of superb flux. If you buy the 43 ones they'll work just fine.
I suppose you could also put it on the broker to see which level it comes up as.
