My main is lvl 45, I have 399 in cooking and over 5m kinah. The cooking master is not giving me the quest for expert cooking, are there any more pre-requisites ?_? :dazed:

It should show up as a work order that says [Expert] or something of that sorts.

I've done the "regarding becoming a cooking expert". I should be getting the "passion of cooking" or something like that...but i don't :|

Asmodian side we have like the King of Pandaemonium give the expert quests. His name is Vidar on our side.

Do you have any other tradeskills at 399 or higher? If so, you have to get the first one all the way to 449 before you can start the expert quest for a 2nd tradeskill.

I don't know if this is the case with you, but I thought I'd throw it out there, since that's the problem I ran into.

I have alchemy 399 indeed....damn .___.
The quest for alchemy expert is undoable right now, due to crazy prices for premium weapon fluxes, and I was planning to master cooking first. I'll have to wait, then....

Not only do you have to get expert alchemy but you need to get it all the way to 449 before it will let you go any furthur into cooking so good luck~

Getting Alchemy to 449 is almost a non-issue. It's the 399-400 part that sucks. Once at 400, you can just make the different Recovery pots all the way from 400-449 without too much hassle or Kinah spent on mats.

so if my first tradeskill is under 399 i can get my 2nd one (cooking) past 399?

I was 399 alchemy, then started leveling cooking - got it to 399 and was able to expert it before Alch.

Though - I never started the Alchemy expert quest, maybe that's where we differed.

This happened to me also.

I had started the expert alchemy quest. I dropped the quest and went back, still no expert cooking quest. I have done the Governors work order etc.

I submitted a trouble ticket has anyone else?

I guildie told me when he turned 50 he didnt get the 50 campaign and he did all the prereqs. He filed a TT and they unlocked his 50 campaign or him.

so long as you didnt start your quest for alchemy expert, you will be able to do cooking first.

I would have to dig it up for evidence and quote directly from NCSoft but...

You can't start a second expert quest until you max out your first profession to 449.

I did the same thing, I have failed the Expert Weaponsmithing Quest more than 20 times... tried to pick up Cooking to help with the costs as Jellies are good markup on my server. Farmed 1,000 Cippo, and then leveled Cooking from 1 to 399. Couldn't pick up the quest after I did the Governor's Food Quest.

NC Soft said that they may allow you to actually drop an expert quest or at least start another one in a future patch. At this point I don't even have much desire to be an expert Weaponsmith, but I am stuck.
