I think yesterday is a gd day to craft.
My legionmate proc quite alot while crafting the armors and I only tried once to get the green to proc blue successfully for my expert quest after the server maintenance.
Overall I didn't spend much on the expert craft.
5 tries for white -> green, 1 try for green -> blue.
Still have leftover of 1 green noble durable egrasi bow.

Ok, i'll post my saga as well. I was very naive... i realized that too late. So as a little lvl39 ranger dreaming about an aspd bow, i thought, "hey i'll just make a noble durable salix bow, since i have handicrafting at 250 anyways, and ask an expert craftsman to make me an expert bow."
I started out at having ~4mil , i collected everything possible (aka wood and aether), only bought the fluxes and worthy platinums. Just a side note, this bow is up in the ah for usually ~6mil.
One and a half week later, after i did 22 stage one, 7 stage two crafts, it's done(the worthy noble, not the expert).
now, in numbers:

spent:
22*85*1396 = 2 610 520 <= greater sandpaper
22*170*1000 = 3 740 000 <=wood value
22*6*15000 = 1 980 000 <= white fluxes
22*55*1000 = 1 210 000 <= white aether
7*16*15000 = 1 680 000 <= worthy platinum
7*6*70000 = 2 520 000 <= worthy fluxes
7*12*2500 = 210 000 <= high grade aether
total: 13 950 520

income:
15*238 000 = 3 570 000
6*298 000 = 1 788 000
total: 5 358 000

So i'm at -8 592 520 now, i'll need to spend another ~1,5-2 mil on expert fluxes, find an expert handicrafter, to have a bow worth 6mil.
This was not an outcry, QQ or anything like that, i just learned my lesson. I'll never ever touch anything crafting related that needs a crit, especially not something that needs a double crit(except maybe homm sometimes in the future). I now have 6723 kinah(exactly) standing in pandaemonium. And i'm not happy.

I made over 60 million while levelling from 0-38. I then bought full blue gear including weapon, chanted the weapon, spent a stupid amount of money getting 400 alchemy, and am sitting on a bit of coin and materials still.

I'm glad I have choosen armor crafting this time (Accessory on my other char. May it rest in peace) I didn't start armor craft until 3 days ago. Took me about 13 hours and a bit more than 3mill to reach 399 and fail the two first attempts in making the 299 shield.
Giving it another try when I have collected kinahs and stuff for it

I really tried to make kinah on this char, thought I was to sloppy on the first one, but didn't manage to get more than a bit over 4 mill at lvl 40. I could really use some advice on basic economics in Aion

Looks like I ended in the 20% crit margin. I don't want to think about how much potential kinah I lost attempting handicraft. I shudder to think about Nya's attempts. I really wish we didn't require a double proc, of course, I'd be glad if I could have used accessory fluxes instead.

Painful. Now I need to level alts so I can farm more balic materials and level my craft up. Despite what community representatives tell us, I'm pretty sure that leveling my craft during the double xp weekend was a lot cheaper than it could have been.

It is but it comes at a price. While you do get more for skill ups you end up doing fewer work orders in the process. Less work orders mean less chances at a rare recipe, which you will end up having to either farm for it or buy off the broker. So its a bit of a gamble depending on the craft. You have the potential to spend more in recipe cost than you would work orders.

But leveling after 399 is alot cheaper during double exp weekend. I spent 14M to buy Balaur mats off AH to level. So that means if you level it normally, it would cost you around 28M along with some balaur recipe and other stuff.

better throw your pc out of the window it took me like 100 attempts for the white bow to crit and 25-30 for the green 1 to become actually blue and I know several people having same trouble with HC, crafting is kinda broken ;)

I don't know about theorycrafting in this game, but after 40 mil I was up for trying anything to hit expert Handi haha. Oddly, a legionmate procc'ed his expert bow by making 10 reg bows at once (procc'ed 3 greens, 1 blue) when he crafted it at around 3pm PST. I usually made my bows one at a time and late at night/super early in the morning. I'd proc greens 1/3 times but never a blue. So I tried the 3pm deal also...
.... tried it with 9 shots at green, procc'ed 5, and 2 blues. Wasn't during double xp weekend, just a regular weekday.


Maybe 3pm PST is the lucky hour for the blue bow proc...? hahah, another theorycraft to be mulled over :3 But GOOD LUCK to the rest of you cause man.... handicraft sux

15/4/3 (not kidding you)

I attempted to craft the expert bow all at once, I was screaming in vent after the 2nd one. 3rd one was just... wow. The last one was a normal green, but it was 3 in a row.





Took over 2+months of gathering/buying/collecting money to do, I gathered all the egrasi logs myself. 4000+ logs if my numbers are correct. I was telling myself what I would do if none of them crit.

I gave up again on this quest. This is my second mastery so I already have full miragent, (did tailoring first time).

Easy 50m+ spent on this.

45-55 on the whites, 10 on the greens and no luck so far.

Ha!! dont make me take off from work just to get home early to try this. I been saving up cash for a while now to do this. I gave it a go a few weeks back got zero procs on 3 attempts. Gonna get logs this time for 10 tries and see how it works out. It wouldnt be so bad if the npc mats werent so costly now that the flux prices are going down. At least once the 1.9 hits you will be able to make all your money back and then some on none procs when you DE them cuz everyone and their grandma will be after the enchantment stones.
