Introduction:
This guide explains how you can use free Firefox and IE extensions to automatically complete NCSoft Support Tickets.
Firstly, the Real Money Trading (RMT) and Botting problems have grown so rapidly in Aion since the September launch that many of us are finding it hard to stay motivated to help and make regular reports. While it is true, the /AutoReportHunting command allows quick and easy reporting in-game, many of us are finding that the same old bots are still hanging around for days after they have been reported this way. When this happens, one of the best things you can do is raise a manual support ticket via the NCSoft website.
Raising manual support tickets via the NCsoft website does actually work. If the right information is included in the ticket, the support team are able to investigate and deal with the reported player(s) quickly and easily. The only problem is, in reality most players aren't prepared to spend their precious hours of available gaming time filling in support tickets over and over. Also, those that do have the time are often unsure how much information to include, so the process can be doomed from the start.
This is where automatic form filling comes in. After just a few minutes setting yourself up, you can complete all your future NCSoft Support Tickets completely and correctly with just a few clicks - meaning in future you will only need to add player names to a ticket before you submit it. It really couldn't be much simpler!
Auto-Completing Aion Support Tickets:
Setting yourself up to automatically populate Support Tickets is simple and easy if you are using Internet Explorer or Firefox. To sum it up, all you need to do is install the right extension, add the NCSoft support ticket form information, and you're good to go. It seems like such a simple process, but it is certainly likely to appeal to those of us with that ingrained lazy streak
Example of a Good Support Ticket
Before we get started with the gadgets, lets talk about what should be included in your average support ticket.
One of the big problems with manual support tickets is that a lot of the time people aren't sure what information to include. It is actually possible to include too much information, or certainly the wrong kind. NCSoft Support have advised that when you are reporting RMT or Botting, you only need to include the server name, the violation you are reporting, and the player names. Anything more than that is unecessary and slows down the process.
There is no need to spend time attaching screenshots when you are reporting Real Money Trading or Botting.
It is also better if you keep the ratio of names reported to tickets submitted as high as you can. It’s much easier and faster for the support team to review ten names in one ticket than it is to review ten names on ten tickets.
Below is an example of a good support ticket layout. You can literally copy and paste the contents of this into your form when you are configuring whichever extension you intend to use. Alternatively, if you don't want to configure your form values manually, you can import the pre-made profiles for Firefox or IE below and amend the values to suit your own content.
DON'T FORGET: In the below example, if you configure the Firefox or IE extension correctly, you will only ever need to complete the items in [GREEN] in future when you are creating new support tickets!
* Your Email Address (lower case): your-email@address.here
* Subject: Your Server Name : Name of Violation
* Question:
Violation: Name of Violation (keep it short, like "Botting" or "Real Money Trading" )
