Hey guys-

As was pointed out in this thread from Ayase's twitter, NCsoft has been freely swinging the banhammer like a drunken Thor on a rage fit. With 11,000 accounts banned today and 16,000 obliterated on Monday, a clear message is being given to the cheaters and RMT companies who have been plaguing the game in it's early months of release. A very different message is being delivered to us fans and players- "we hear you."

This week has been one giant gold star for NCsoft. Besides an unfortunate extended maintenance which cost our European friends a night of gameplay (which NC West has compensated them for), we have seen amazing things from NC West in the last 5 days.

The implementation of the 1.5.1 patch which included fortress defense medals, added xp for several mid to high level quests, and a fix for the Crysystem.dll error that had tormented much of the player base.

27,000 bot accounts banned over two sweeps.

And last but certainly not least, the fan-favorite "Visions of the Future" trailer showing many, many things that the community has been asking for since (and before) Western Launch.

Is anything else in store for us in this week of surprises? We can only wait and see. GStar 2009 begins in Korea today and us fans are hoping for any details we can find on the VotF trailer. So keep your eyes open! During a week like this, you never know what's coming next!

Between these sweeping bans and the new trailers, things look bright.
