Morphing is a crafting skill used to convert one substance into another. When a daeva ascends you get this ability. Initially you only have 3 morphs. But if you get some kinah and bring it to the captured abyss fortresses you can buy recipes for the other morphs. These recipes are bind on purchase, meaning you cant trade them or sell them. Once you learn them you just need 200 dp to do one morph. Since most of the DP skills are garbage I tend to save my dp so I can morph stuff. You can only transform Aether of a specific tier to crafting items in that same tier. For instance Aether Crystal morphs into Thick Rawhide but not thin rawhide because thats a lower tier. You can also morph fluxs but you dont use Aether for these. You use the flux and a morph catalyst. You basically downgrade the rarity of one flux into 3 of a lower rarity flux. This is extremely valueable for Weapon and Accessory flux because most of those items you have to double or triple crit just to make the final output. Armor Flux its not as big of a deal. So in short you can change a single green flux into 3 white flux of that same tier. You can change Aether(Powder, Crystals, Gems, etc...) into items that are of the same tier. To be honest getting these recipes are the only reasons I go to the abyss outside of instances. I am just waiting on our server to finally take the abyss core fortress so I can get the last of the morphs.

Sorry to necro.. maybe, but this is relevant to the thread.

So, to get any of the morph recipes you have to go to the Abyss, which you can only get to at level 25 or higher... soo... why do some morphs say they can be got at lower levels than this? Seems someone missed something here. You can't sell them, so you can't get someone of a higher level to bring some back, so no morph can be used by anyone below level 25 regardless of the level requirement on the thing itself (ignoring for the moment the three you start with)... or have I completely missed something?

It doesnt work for stuff lower than 23. Basically starting at 23 multiple fluxes start dropping. You have Armor/Acc/Weapon Flux then you have Worthy Armor/Acc/Weapon Flux. Basically you take the worthy version and break it down to 3 regular flux. Since there are no worthy items below 23 its not going to help. Also keep in mind 23 worthys only break down to 23 regular flux. When you level to the next tier at 28 its a different kind of flux. Its greater Armor/Acc/Weapon flux and Worthy Greater Armor/Acc/Weapon Flux. Again only breaking down from Worthy to regular. Think of it as changing a green item into 3 white items. For expert flux and master flux its pretty much the same thing. For the most part aside from Accessory and Weapons the morphs are kind of useless. Maybe you could do it for level 50 expert armor fluxes for the expert tests but I cant see the point of morphing worthy armor into just regular flux. For weapons and accessories there is so much needed just to crit to get to the second phase the regular flux tend to be way more expensive than the worthy or expert counterparts. Using the morphs here is very valueable. Lastly because of the costs of the morphs are so expensive I would only try to put all the recipes on a single alt instead of all of them. The cost really does add up. I just wish the folks on my server would finally take the divine fortress so I can get the last of my recipes.

Does anyone know which fort has the morphing recipes for the metals? Like adamantium and oricaclium(sp?).
Quit, but not for dislike of the game. I hope to come back some time soon.

From what I can tell most of the items that are 40+ will be in the divine fortress. I have been to most of the forts and they seem to stop at a point. I think its so the level 50s will have to conquer the divine fortress. I am not sure about admantium. But in either case I only morph on a specific character. Mostly because there is nothing better to do with the DP moves. Most of them are trash which is why I see morphing as a better useage of DP if I have the aether available for it.

Quartermasters in the abyss fortresses tha your faction controls. Remember they are bind on purchace, meaning untradeable.

That's not morphing. That's item remodeling. No recipe's for that. You just go to the item remodeler, with both items and tell them which one is the source for the stats and which one is the source for the looks. The item that you'reusing for the looks will be destroyed.

** HOW TO FIND OUT WHERE TO BUY MORPH METHODS **

It seems like it would be easy to find a nice concise resource listing all of the available morph methods and where one might obtain them. Sadly, this is not the case in my experience. Why NCSoft seems to want morphing to be all cryptic and hush-hush is beyond me. Anyway, here's the best source I have found:

http://powerwiki.na....kw=morph+method

This at least lists all of the morph patterns with links for each one that do give the the names of the fort and quartermaster where they can be purchased.

Hope it helps some other frustrated ppl ;)

All morphs except Nex ore are available in the abyss

For all Morphs except Nex Ore(4000 DP)you need 200 DP
To morph materials you also need Aether/Aether Gem/Aether Crystal depending on the level of the item.
To morph fluxes you need a Morphing Catalyst, purchaseable at any craftingmaterials vendor.
Lower and upper forts have all materials up to level 40 / 300 Essencetapping / Blue->Green & Green->White Flux morphs
All other designs can only be found in Divine

Purchased most of my design as soon as we had a fort. Fortress quartermasters sell certain morphs
Asteria sells Herbs, veggies and fruit I believe
Other sets are Wood, Elemental Stones, Leather, Metal ore

If anyone on Telemachus Elyos side needs something morphed, let me know as I own every single morph design currently available
The best thing about insanity is that you're the only person not bothered by it
Karasu: 501 Handicrafting / 490 Tailoring / 491 Aethertapping / 499 Essencetapping
Jinxy: 503 Alchemy / Maruten 515 Cooking / Tempthing: 450 Armorsmithing / 463 Weaponsmithing
All 1.9 & 2.0 morphing recipes
QQ is OP, Nerf please...
Disclaimer: Don't take me toooo serious ( I sure as hell don't ). Just here to have a good time

So I can go to any fort that Eylos controls and purchase morph recipes? It seems as if all of these downgrade, are there any that combine and upgrade something?

I do armor and weapons so I think this is something I will need.

Thanks
