Can you tell me the name of the rare bosses? Can you link the orange drops btw?

Thanks in advance

Kalanadi and Lakhane, Kalanadi spawns in the gravity room, Lakhane in the barracks. Drops golds, not oranges. Look them up on armory.

For the bridge surkana quest - your team has to do over 50% damage to it to complete the quest, maybe also get the capture shot. I have twice had a situation where we wiped the opposing team on bridge surkana when it was at 10-20% and when we finished it, we did not get quest update.

Couple more things that should be in this guide - dying and teleporter. I've seen people not release until they get rezzed, not believing their teammates saying that they'll respawn with full health inside the instance again. And I've seen even level 50s not use teleporter because they've no idea what it does. I think it's also worth mentioning that clicking "Pass" on entry window actually lets you re-queue after 10 seconds. I myself had no idea about this for like a month, creating unnescessary tension a'la "if I don't enter now, I miss it for tonight". Ah, also that killing captain ends the instance, altho most people figure that out in first few runs.

For a bit more advanced guide, there's a few objects you can kill that produce shields in different places. And doors to captains cabin that you can kill. And captains room teleporter, which I've actually only seen couple of times and never used, but it's part of the instance.

Minor note, fear training. SM AoE fears a room, group kills the surk and runs.

On a sour note the worst games are when 2 sins are racing through the board, while their team mates constantly train onto you. As people figure the place out, the number of those games becomes more frequent. So goddam annoying.

This really is a good guide, and it covers a lot of aspects about dredgion. IMO more than enough read for someone who done dredgion <10 times.

really appreciate your effort writing this.

now if only people will bother to read and stop QQing abt trains/ninja whatever.

Awesome guide! Just what I needed. I did my first Dredgion last night, second just now. Had I read this I would have done quite a bit better. Has anybody written or found any other, more advanced guides going over more strategies? Group/class builds, etc?

I'm thinking that 2 glad, 2 sin, 1 spiritmaster, and 1 cleric would be a good team. Or sub out a sin for chanter/cleric. Dredgion seems like a great place for a bunch of gladiators to run in and AOE the nyerk outta everything.

Anyways, thanks again for the great beginner's guide!

two sin, two glad, cleric, sorc. been undefeated for 5 months. we replaced one glad with a chanter recently. started out 2/6 miragent's, we all have it now. the cleric is key. hard to find one that's aware of their surrounding, dispels, pots silences, and can play whack a mole at the same time.

Assassins also have two weapons, meaning they do double the dmg on each surkana hit (surkanas only take 1 dmg, but with two swings for assassin its 2 dmg) than any other class.

One minor correction to your information, here. Sins are not the class with the potential to do the most damage. Glads can equal them when dual-wielding (if the sin doesn't use Flurry), but SMs actually have the most damage potential on things like Surks/Chests/Gates ect. DPS fromm Pet+Summon beats Sin/Glad in most cases. SMs can also take off their book and double that again. Sins DO have flurry, so it tends to even out. The problem is that in dredge it's too risky to send an SM solo after Surks unless everythings already been cleared, or the SM is really good at juggling CDs on Fear Shriek/Spirit Sub. In practice sins are kings of ganking surks, but the potential is still there if someone ever finds themselves looking at a potential loss with no sin to pull out the save.

I'd also like to thank you for this guide. I played in my first 2 dredgions the other day after dinging 46 (I just came back to Aion after 5 months away!) and I had no idea what we were doing (the others did and were well geared 50s) but we won both games! The other guys just went "ooh a level 46" but I got 12 pvp kills and even helped tank a boss while we waited for our MT to res and run back! lol
This explains a lot to me - thx for taking the time to put it together.
