Hello guys,
I wanted to know if I choose Gladiator, will playing with a greatsword (2H) all the way to 50 be a good choice? My character is currently level 9 and I still have not decided which path to follow. I like the Templar style but I love the idea of my character playing with a giant two hander weapon all the way to fifty. I just want to make sure it is a good choice and I am not "gimping" myself because I want to play so (I don't like the idea of DW, polearms or anything else).
Any advice?

From what I gather, Great-swords can be used by both Templars AND Glads. So play what you want, and use the weapon you want...

Been discussed to death, but the short answer is: No, you will not gimp yourself by exclusively using a greatsword at all levels.
All main weapon options for gladiators are completely viable, and largely a matter of preference. Greatsword is arguably the most balanced of them all, combining decent sustained dps with modest burst potential, plus mitigation from high parry and knockdowns.
Being a bit of a switch hitter myself, there are pros and cons to every weapon for gladiators, with the possible exception of sword and shield, which is just awful for us.

Greatswords are the weapon of my choice. However, I recommend that you switch between a polearm and a greatsword just so you can come to your own conclusion. Every single gladiator will have his or her own answer. If you ask me, this is part of getting to know your class better.

Well at lvl 10 i'd probably grab the prohecy spear and +10 it for cheap. Use that to power lvl your way through the teen's, then at 20 contemplate switching to GS if you want. I think the free spear you get in the santum will help you level faster at that point compared to the GS. I also think your glad will likely fall in love with spear anyways, so you will start rocking one 20+.

On Elyos side, I would go:
11-32: Polearm/GS
32-41: Hannet's Sword/Dagger + Inferno
41-better choices avaiable: Xenophon's Spear
In the end game, I'd prolly choose a good GS over Dual Wield (it makes skills unusable, kills AoE ability and it uses one stigma slot).

Just look at whatever the best is you can obtain. I wouldn't use either or past 35 (35 expert pole, chaos spear/GS) unless it has atk speed on it (30 if you can get the daevanian weaps). Past 40 you have a few more options on 2h(40 white dragon GS, 45 expert GS, plat coin weap, AP weaps, Zapiel's spear *drool). At that point you can start deciding more on what you prefer.
