26 July 2012 - 01:27 PMI'm sorry but lol. Im most certainly not typing out maths that is literally simple additions, 2+5=7 style. If my armor was +10 instead of +15 I would have 333 strike resist. There are plennnnt of melee on perento with a +12 gold set for 350 and maybe unencahted arena for magic classes seeing as crit res dont matter there.
dude, dont tell me you're a google trad hero
That's not about it being simple or not. It's about numbers that are missing. Means "source" which is somehow basis to any discussion... Like No, you just proven.
Quote30 ( boots ) + 30 ( gloves ) + 30 ( pauldrons ) + 45 ( pants, hi reflexion ) + 60 ( chest ) + 9 ( EC pvp helm ) + 20 ( ring ) + 20 ( ring ) + 31 ( earring ) + 31 ( earring ) + 41 ( necklace ) + 21 ( wings ) + 30 ( base ) = 398
(thank you )
Now, make the armor +10, remove the lucky wings that are "reserved" to 2 yrs+ players. you're already down to 312 while here we are considering that the player is using arena helm instead of any good M.Res hat and has full gbg. About perento, except if you have the opportunity of checking every players that zerg you, I doubt you can actually tell the amount of players that have +12 gold gears but rather a feeling. If I sit in a zerg area of my faction I can see how people are badly geared, most either have SW/Crafts/c1 arena and and at most 3 pieces of GbG.
Now I wont deny that perento has some good geared players, more than the others servers for sure. But it's at most 10% of the server.
QuoteYou talk about "sure but just put what little crit you need to top it up into a weapon" where the previously stated counter argument was why bother having to slot it all? Good luck finding your numbers, don't feel there is reasoning to be done here.
No... Ask google trad to translate it this way "If you have any 60s manastone to slot, you can use your weapon"

QuoteSure no problem. Some strike res from +15 armour. Some more for BG jewels. Some more from lucky wings. And the last 9 from my helmet. Another 20 to 30 is available by taking an arena set with strike resist in the conditional stats. 398 Strike resist really aint too hard. Inb4 someone says, yes i know non elite which is worst of 3, I bought pants to get my first gold piece when still in blue anuhart n never re-did nething.
Thanks you, however As said I'm rather interested in the numbers than screenshot. Could you do it mathematicly so that I can figure out where i'm missing numbers.
QuoteValid point granted about sins stacking L50 manastones. Buuuuuut you are talking about having 813 crit, you'd want to socket 4 crit 17's. 350 strike resist is becomming very very average these days, a +10 set, some wings some jewels n ur there. Also I don't know sins inside out but they have way more than enough skill-based resists for melee class cc's.
You are also talking about 1414 total magic resist in 40 elite vs 1371 in 50elite (assuming same ET bg jewel + Arena Chain helm for 932 mres added to the 439 in kimii's picture). You just ain't gonna resist squiddly dot with that except perhaps freak occurrences with old-school extendy users. For sins as a gladiator I'd use non extend with, no jokes, 1415 magical accuracy. Templars get mag acc boost from their buffs. Rangers got passive mag acc boost recently.
In contrast, every bit of crit that you add up to and including 850 is perfectly useful in most end-game pvp. With going up to 898 still having some benefit against particular players.
Since no sins are using lvl 4x weapon, they can slot it on their weapon.
for the average, I have to disagree, I'm not reaching these numbers with a +10/12 set, I barely reach 300. I'll wait for your maths to make a real point here but what I can already say is that average players have +10 gold armor, barely have a + on their arena set and dont have the lucky wings for obvious reasons, may change after phase 2 or/and 3.0.
About the M.Res, a 40e user will never wear any arena helm but a Lakh... So it will resist anyway, and as already stated, you wont resist a lot, as in "you wont resist DoTs from MA geared mages" for example. Point is that against a melee that you will meet way more often than any insanely high crit resist user, you will resist as much as you may crit him with the 4% added by 50e, in short numbers are the same, thing is that one of these numbers will serve 90% of the time while the other will almost never. Templar MA boot aint enough to bypass with a GS and if he uses a mace, unless he has gbg (which is unlikely since most templar have 47s or 50s extendable mace...) it wont work. Same for rangers, MA boost are only for traps, if a ranger trap you, it means that you got sleeped > means something went plently wrong in your gameplay. Which can't be carried by gears
Again I doubt that majority or even 10% of the PvP players you meet in open PvP have these numbers but I'll wait your maths.
26 July 2012 - 06:00 AMWhat happened to page 2 posts then ?
26 July 2012 - 05:47 AMAs far as I know, people did the maths on a previous thread in the mechanic section some months agos, if you can reach higher crit resist it means that you have data that I dont have, so please could you provide the maths ? ofc w/o adding hit mantra in.
As explained in previous posts "in english" but deleted by DK. This is exacly the same % for both stats (4%), saying that you'd prefer +4% crit on some hypotetical +15 full geared foe while 99% of the player you'll face wont reach that cap to +4% resist to CC against any melee that isn't socketing MA aint a revelant nor logical argument. Same for lvl60 stones, unless you're slotting full MB you'll stick to attack that are 50s manastones.
the only thing that could be arguable there would be the defensive increase, coz there are many kinds of players and gear carried players may indeed ends fights with 1% hp against
annother baddyan equal skilled player. But that's it.
25 July 2012 - 08:11 PM1 months, so maybe 2 for a casual, quite easy.
