well, if you need anything, contacts what not... engineering is a field where there are a lot of different avenues. My roommate ended up working for Silicon Valley Group designing the tool that made Intel's microprocessor and now works for Sikorsky designing helicopter rotors. My friends are all over the place, my best friend is managing the Northeast of the US for Carrier Corp. My other good friends are either in design engineering, controls engineer sales, and water treatment sales. I never thought I'd end up in healthcare when I was in college. And now I don't know what else I'd do to be honest. I love thinking that everything I do helps save a patients life or allows a family to have their loved one be it all one more day. Think about what you want to do. Every avenue doesn't have to be a dead end, there is soo much opportunity out there for us.

No I don't ship anymore. I actually work in healthcare in NYC managing engineering operations/construction. The shipping end of it allowed me to get a more hands on approach to systems operations and design. HVAC systems, boilers, heating systems, etc. Right now I am usually dealing with contracts and budgets. But that didn't come right away, I'm out of college 12 years now.

hey man, I went to SUNY Maritime for Mechanical Engineering. I also got my Coast Guard license to operate ships of unlimited horsepower. Engineering is fun in a way, right now I do more business than actual engineering which is the norm.
