I decided to go with Elyos because I really like angelic themed things. That and I prefer the brighter and more colorful landscapes. Also, I really don't like the appearance of the Asmodian mane. There are many other reasons for my choice too and the decision was a no brainer for me.

At the newbie town there's lots of fragments floating in the sky you can farm to raise your skill. If not, then switch channels to avoid other people farming them. If you're Elyos, you can raise your skill up to 99 at the shrine area. Then go to your major city in the crafting section and pay a fee to learn 100+ skill which will allow you to farm crystals.

How the hell did you get Aether Extract up to 75 + to get crystals? I found a whole TWO aethers things that required level 1. D:
