    I think there are enough elements to consider it such. Once people start providing evidence and support for their arguments and get pretty serious instead of simply talking about their opinions I consider it to have gone from discussion to debate

    There is debating, or at least I would consider it such, but I see no way that my statement could have been an attack on the ability to freely debate. I simply pointed out my distaste for personal attacks. If he thinks personal attacks constitute debating then I feel sorry for him, so I agree that he most likely means trolling.
