AION: The Tower of Eternity is still under development by NCsoft, and any information related to the game is subject to change with the release of more information.


PvPvE is a term that stands for Player versus Player versus Environment.

It refers to the interactions between 3 factions in Aion. The player-faction the Elyos versus the player-faction the Asmodians versus the NPC(Non-Player Character) faction, the Balaur.

This unique setup allows for better balancing in PvP combat situations, where, if one player-faction becomes too powerful, the NPC faction might step in and attempt to even out the battle.

Or the NPC faction might step in and make it a complete slaughter.
