아이온 최초의 길드(레기온) 탄생!
First Guild(Re-gi-on) in Aion!
한낮

클로즈 베타테스트 2주째의 첫 날인 11월 3일 오후 1시, 아이온 최초의 길드(아이온 내의 명칭은레기온)가 탄생했다.
Second week of beta testing, November 3rd 13:00, Aion’s very first guild(Aion’s own name for guilds is region – not pronounced like the English word region) was born.

그 영광의 주인공은 바로 ‘제국’ 길드. 제국길드는 이미 활발한 팬까페 활동을 통해 테스트들 사이에 익히 알려진 길드로서 1차 클로즈 베타테스트 당시 테스터의 1/4 가량이 포함돼있는 ‘무시무시한 규모’를 자랑한 바 있다.
The honour was given to guild ‘Empire.’ The guild is well known within the Aion community and boasts its numbers with ¼ of the testers being a part of the guild.

TIG> 금액이 만만하지 않았던 것으로 아는데 2주 차에 길드를 만든 비결은?
TIG>The cost seemed to be rather large. What’s the reason for the creation during the 2nd beta?
패션> 레기온을 창설하기 위한 비용은 총 13만 5천 키나였다. 이는 길드원들의 모금활동을 통해 만들었다. 현재 데바의 수가 다른 길드에 비해 많기 때문에 비교적 빠르지 않았나 생각된다.
Passion>It cost 135,000 Qina to create our guild. This was made possible through everyone in the guild chipping in. It was probably thanks to the fact that our guild had more Daeva than any other guilds out there.

TIG> 레기온을 만든 소감은?
TIG>Comments?
패션> 일단 레기온에 가입한 인원이 10명밖에 되지 않아서 당황했다. 물론 레기온 레벨을 올리면 최대 인원도 늘어나겠지만, 문제는 레기온 레벨을 1에서 2로 올리는데 84만5천 키나가 든다는 것이다.
Passion>I panicked at first for having only ten members registered in the guild. Of course the member cap would rise as we work on the guild level, but the problem is it costs 845,000 Qina to get our guild from level 1 to level 2.

때문에 길드원들이 뻔히 옆에 있는데도 가입을 시켜주지 못하고 있다.
Passion>Thanks to that, we could not have our guild members register into the guild even if they were standing right next to us.

첫 번째로 레기온을 생성한 것은 좋지만 턱없이 적은 최대 가입인원으로 인해 앞으로 길드원을 모두 받을 때까지 얼마나 많은 돈이 들 지 상상도 할 수 없다는 패션님. 때문에 이런 부분만은 수정을 바란다는 말을 남기면서 스샷만을 남겨 주신 채 서둘러 모습을 감췄다(…)
It’s nice that they were the first to form a guild in Aion, but he commented on how low the member cap was and could not imagine how much it would eventually cost them to get all of their members actually into the guild. Leaving this comment, he left us his screenshots and hid himself into the shadows…

아래는 패션님이 보내준 레기온 창과 관련된 스크린 샷들이다. 보면서 하루 빨리 제 2, 제 3, 레기온의 꿈을 키워나가도록 하자.

창설 이후의 스크린샷. 끔찍한(?) 레기온 레벨 업 조건이 눈에 띈다. 공적포인트 부분이 있다는 것은 향후 PvP점수 등이 레기온의 성장을 위해 쓰일 수도 있다는 이야기. 레벨 업을 위한 최소 멤버수가 있는 것을 봐서는 레벨 업을 통해 레기온의 최대 인원을 늘릴 수 있을 듯 하다.
Notice the requirements to upgrade your guild level. (845,000 Qina) PvP points can also be used to contribute to your guild.

하 지만 문제는 현재의 제한 인원인 10명은 어지간한 '얼라이언스(파티와 파티간의 연합)'규모 만큼도 안 된다는 것. 게다가 레기온의 레벨을 하나 올리는 데 드는 비용도 지나치게 높다. 레벨 업에 드는 비용을 좀 낮춰주거나 그게 안 된다면 최대한 인원만이라도 조절해 줄 필요가 있다.
Only allowing 10 members for a guild seems a little problematic. The cost seems immense as well. They may need to adjust the cost to level your guild or at least increase the member cap.


순위와 점수가 표시된다. 이제 레기온도 경쟁의 시대! 점수를 무엇으로 쌓을 수 있을 지가 관건. 참고로 비슷한 시스템을 가진 게임 중 리니지 2에서는 길드 레벨을 올리기 위해 스킬포인트를 활용했으며 마비노기에서는 자신이 플레이한 시간만큼의 포인트를 기부하는 식이었다. 그리고 다크에이지 오브 카멜롯의 경우 길드원들의 PvP실적에 따라 길드를 성장시킬 수 있었다.
Notice the ranks and scores. I’m curious as to what factors can contribute to the scores. Lineage 2 used skill points, Mabinogi used playtime hours. DAOC used a similar system.


길드 워 등의 게임에서 선보였던 길드 히스토리(길드와 관련된 모든 역사를 한 눈에 보여주는 것)시스템도 적용돼있다. 만약 오픈베타 테스트까지 레기온이 이어진다면 얼마나 빨리 레기온을 만들었느냐가 일종의 '명예'처럼 여겨질 수도 있는 일.
Guild history, akin to the one seen in Guild Wars. This could record things such as when the guild was established and could serve as a proof to how old a guild is and serve as a sort of ‘honour.’

마음만은 하늘에 있지만 현실은 두 발이 부르터라 땅을 박차고 달릴 수밖에 없는 초보 아인/휴먼 여러분들을 위해 필자가 발로 뛰며 얻은 포에타 지역의 레벨 업 가이드를 준비했다. 데바에는 뽑혔지만 아직 미처 플레이를 해보지 못했거나 지금도 데바가 되어 아이온을 즐겨보기 위해 노력 중인 유저라면 반드시 챙겨보도록 하자!
Your heart is up there in the sky, but the reality is that you’re a mere human who can only kick against the ground and run. If you’ve been selected as a Daeva but haven’t really had the chance to play Aion, make sure to check out this article!

단, 이 네비게이션은 오직 '데바가 되기까지 소모하는 시간을 최대한 줄이기 위해' 만들어진 것으로 지나치게 여기에 의존했을 시 게임의 재미가 반감될 수도 있다. 퀘스트는 많이 쌓여있는데 자꾸 동선이 꼬인다거나 아직 플레이를 못 해봐서 게임의 세부 내용들이 궁금한, 그런 유저분들이 잘 활용해 주셨으면 하는 바람이다. /디스이즈게임 한낮
Note: This guide is speed-oriented, not fun-oriented, to make you become a Daeva as quickly as possible. If you have quests piling up or haven’t played the game yet and are curious about the details, this guide is for you.

▲캐릭터를 생성 한 후 인트로 영상이 끝나면 곧바로 정면에 있는 엘피스에게 말을 걸어 ‘레벨.1 새로운 임무’ 퀘스트를 받자.
Receive quest ‘Lv1. New Mission’ from NPC Elpis who’s standing right across from you as soon as the intro cutscene ends.

▲꿈 속의 목소리 퀘스트는 현재 제대로 진행이 되지 않고 있으니 일단 목록에서 빼놓자.
Quest “A Voice from the Dreams” isn’t going so well so let’s exclude that from the list.



머리 위에 하늘색 화살표를 거꾸로 띄우고 있는 npc는 퀘스트에게 말을 걸면 퀘스트를 받을 수 있다. Talk to the NPCs with cyan diamonds over their heads to receive quests.

▲길을 따라 조금만 내려가면 미레스를 만날 수 있다. 미레스에게 말을 걸어 ‘레벨.1 새로운 임무’ 퀘스트를 완료하고 ‘레벨.1 케루빔 사냥’ 퀘스트를 받자.
Follow the path and you’ll see Mires. Talk to Mires to complete ‘Lv1. New Mission’ quest and receive ‘Lv1. Hunting Kerubim.’

▲’케루빔 사냥’의 목표인 줄무늬 케루빔은 미레스 근처에 다수 분포해있다. 연습 삼아 3마리만 잽싸게 잡은 후 다시 미레스한테 말을 걸자.
The Kerubims can be found spread out around Mires, so quickly kill three and talk to him again.

▲미레스에게 ‘케루빔 사냥’의 결과를 보고한 후 ‘레벨.1 곡식 되찾기’ 퀘스트를 받자.
Report to Mires and receive ‘Lv1. Recovering Crops.’

▲곡식자루는 미레스 뒤쪽에 있는 언덕 위에서 찾을 수 있다. [곡식자루 4개]를 모은 후 미레스에게 돌아가자.
The sacks of crops can be found beyond the hills behind Mires. After collecting [four sacks of crops] return to Mires.


의외로 이 소굴을 못 찾는 유저가 많다. 미레스 바로 뒤의 언덕에 있으므로 괜히 먼 곳에서 헤매지 말자! There are some people having trouble finding this area. It’s right over the hill behind Mires so don’t go wandering off somewhere far!

▲미레스에게 ‘곡식 되찾기’퀘스트를 보고한 후 ‘레벨.2 임무 수행 보고’ 퀘스트를 받자.
After completing ‘Recovering crops,’ report back to Mires. Receive ‘Lv2. Mission Report.’

▲아카리오스 마을을 향해 길을 따라 내려가다 보면 칼레스 농장이 나온다. 농장 옆에 서 있는 칼레스에게 ‘레벨.2 골칫거리 메르디온’ 퀘스트를 받자.
Follow the path towards Town Akarios and you will see Kales Farm. Receive ‘Lv2. Problematic Merdion’ from Kales.

▲곡식핥기 메르디온은 칼레스 바로 옆 농장에 있다. 모두 잡은 후 켈로스에게 가서 퀘스트를 완료하자.
Croplicker Merdions can be found in the farm adjacent to Kales’. Report back after you’re done.


이 농부 아저씨는 평소 몬스터와 싸우고 있는 까닭에 눈에 띄지 않을 때가 많다. 잊지 말고 꼭 체크해두자! This farmer may not be as noticeable because he’s always fighting monsters. Make sure to keep this in mind!

▲퀘스트를 통해 레벨 3이 되면 자동으로 ‘레벨.3 새로운 스킬’ 퀘스트를 받는다. 아직 레벨 3이 되지 않았다면 주변의 메르디온을 잡아 레벨 3을 만든 후 아카리오스 마을로 향하자.
Once you get to level 3 through quests you will receive ‘Lv 3. New Skills’ quest. If you’re not level three yet, kill some mobs around you to get to level 3 then head to Town Akarios.

▲아카리오스 마을에 들어서면 자동으로 ‘레벨.3 용병단장의 호출’ 퀘스트를 받는다.
Once you enter Town Akarios you will automatically receive ‘Lvl 3. Call to Arms.’

▲아카리오스 마을에 위치를 저장한다.
Save your location to Akarios.

▲마을에 있는 미나링에게 ‘레벨.3 주인 없는 물건’ 퀘스트를 받자.
Receive ‘Lv3. Lost item without an owner’ from Minaring.

▲마을에 있는 우노에게 ‘레벨.3 우노의 요리재료’ 퀘스트를 받자.
Receive ‘Lv3. Uno’s Ingredients’ from Uno.

▲자기 직업에 맞는 교관을 찾아가 ‘새로운 스킬’ 퀘스트를 완료하자. 그리고 레벨 5까지의 스킬책을 구입한다.
Go to your class trainer and complete ‘New Skills’ quest. Purchase up to level five skill books.


법사 교관은 성당 내부에 있었다. 그런데 어린이(...) 일단 돈이 되는대로 사두자.
Mage trainer was inside the church. But a kid(…) Lets’ get as many books as we can.

▲아카리오스 마을의 순간이동사 앞에 있는 폴리시아에게 ‘임무 수행 보고’ 퀘스트를 완료하고 이어서 ‘레벨.2 [반복]안젤리카 채집’ 퀘스트를 받자.
Complete ‘Mission Report’ by talking to Akarios Teleporter Polysia and receive ‘Lv2. (Repeat) Capturing Angelicas.’

▲이후 길을 오가며 안젤리카가 보일 때 마다 뽑아주자.
Every time you see an Angelica pluck it out.

▲폴리시아 앞에 있는 칼리온에게 ‘레벨.3 용병단장의 호출’을 완료하고 ‘레벨.3 케루빔의 위협’ ‘레벨.4 엘림족의 요청’ ‘레벨.7 카바라 노천광산 정찰’ ‘레벨.8 오디움 정제 저지’ ‘레벨.9 ??????’미션을 받자.
Complete ‘Lv3. Call to Arms’ with Kalion who is standing in front of Polysia, then receive ‘Lv3. Kerubim Threat,’ ‘Lv4. Elym Tribe’s Request,’ ‘Lv7. Explore Kabara Mines,’ ‘Lv8. Odium Purification(?),’ and ‘Lv9. ??????.’

▲마을 북문으로 나가면서 입구에 있는 멜람푸스에게 ‘레벨.4 나무스를 위한 책’ 퀘스트를 받자.
As you are exiting through the northern entrance, receive ‘Lv4. Book for Namus’ from Melampus.

▲멜람푸스 앞에 있는 무라네스에게 말을 걸어 첫 번째 미션인 ‘레벨.3 케루빔의 위협’을 갱신하자. Renew ‘Lv3. Kerubim Threat’ with Muranes standing next to Melampus.

▲클리오네 호수의 페이라를 찾아가 ‘레벨.4 클리오네 호수의 불청객’ 퀘스트를 받자.
Seek Peira of Clione Lake and receive ‘Lv4. Unwanted Guest of Clione Lake.’


페이라와 작은 뿔 케루빔은 각각 저 위치에 있다 Peria and Kerubims can be found in these locations

▲호수 반대편으로 건너가며 하이브를 잡아서 [하이브 고기 6개]를 얻자.
Get to the opposite side of the lake and obtain six Hive meats.

▲마찬가지로 호수를 건너가며 갈색털 브락스 5마리와 갈퀴발 레프스마 5마리를 처지하자.
While you’re at it, kill five Brown Furred Braxes and five Repsma.

▲호수 반대편에 도착했으면 작은 뿔 케루빔을 사냥하자.
Once you’re on the other side of the lake, kill small-horned Kerubims.

▲마을 입구의 무라네스에게 돌아가 ‘레벨.3 케루빔의 위협’ 미션을 갱신하자.
Return to Muranes at the town’s entrance and renew ‘Lv3. Kerubim threat.’

▲작은 뿔 케루빔을 잡은 곳 안쪽까지 들어가 큰 발 케루빔을 잡아 [케루빔의 송곳니 5개]를 모으자.
Go further in where you found the small-horned Kerubims and collect ‘five Kerubim cuspids’ from Bigfoot Kerubims.


저 곳에서는 가끔씩 대장 파루루라는 케루빔의 우두머리가 출몰한다. 일반 몬스터보다 맺집만 아주 조금 좋은 수준이니 보이는 족족 부담없이 털어주자 -_-;
Occasionally the Kerubim boss called Parurura would pop out. He only has a little more health than a regular mob so you shouldn’t really have much trouble killing him.

▲케루빔을 사냥하면서 주변에 있는 버려진 술통에서 [포도주 5개]를 모으자.
As you are killing Kerubims make sure to pick up ‘five bottles of wine’ lying around.

▲페이라에게 돌아가 ‘클리오네 호수의 불청객’ 퀘스트를 완료하자.
Return to Peira and report. Complete ‘Unwanted Guests of Clione Lake.’

▲마을 입구의 무라네스에게 돌아가 ‘레벨.3 케루빔의 위협’ 미션을 한번 더 갱신하자.
Return to Muranes at the entrance and renew ‘Lv3. Kerubim Threat’ once more.

▲아카리오스 마을의 칼리온에게 ‘레벨.3 케루빔의 위협’ 미션을 완료하고 우노에게는 ‘우노의 요리재료’ 퀘스트를, 미나링에게는 ‘주인 없는 물건’ 퀘스트를 보고하자.
Turn in ‘Kerubim Threat,’ ‘Uno’s Ingredients,’ and ‘Lost Item Without an Owner’ to Kalion, Unio, and Minaring, respectively.

▲바로 옆의 무기/방어구 점에 들어가 무네에게 ‘레벨.6 혜안의 옷’ 퀘스트를 받자.
Receive ‘Lv6. Hyean’s Clothes’ from the armour/weapons vendor.

▲다미누 숲으로 향하는 길에 있는 프라노아에게 ‘레벨.6 밤을 밝힐 물건’ 퀘스트를 받자.
Receive ‘Lv6. An Object to Light the Night’ from Pranoua as you are on your way to Daminu Forest.


이 아저씨도 신경쓰지 않고 있으면 은근히 그냥 지나치기 쉬운 분이시다. ㄱ-;;
If you don’t pay attention you’ll walk by him without noticing him..

▲이후 다미누 숲과 멜포네의 야영지 퀘스트로 이어진다.
Then the quests lead you to Melpone Camps and Daminu Forest.

Note: the below two (dead) links continue the explanation into their respective regions (Daminu forest & Melpone Camps) which I didn’t take the time to translate for I did not see the point in translating quests for the game we don’t even have access to. You may request translations for them if you REALLY want to know what goes on with the next set of quests, but please consider my position as a college student who has term papers due next week. :] thank you!

Lvl cap was low in lineage as well. Hwever, if they are lowering the lvl limit, I would think they would make making a clan easier. Or more obtainable.

Whoa, it costs more money to have a big guild? Sounds interesting. I remember getting a guild for next to nothing when GuildWars started. Now it's insanely expensive, lol...

I'm not sure exactly what "Re-gi-on" sounds like or means (other than it's denotation, lol), but I'm guessing we English-reading people might get "Legions" or something like that. Just guessing. Feel free to throw your guesses out there, too.

Guilds sound interesting... I actually really like that it's expensive to upgrade the guild, it makes having a successful one seem more of an achievement... Kinda like when your guild/alliance got its own city in Galaxies. It set you apart from the mass of other guilds.

Also, with all Jams translation (you're amazing for this, btw), we're starting to get a sense for pricing... Abilities appear to be costing 50-800 "qina" I think it was called, presumably depending on the level of the skill you're buying, the dyes then being around 1,250 seem relatively cheap, and the stigmas at 200,000 actually don't seem that bad. I imagine these are relatively low level stigmas, just buying the ability to equip other things, rather than actual combat skills, but at the current low level cap are extremely expensive (it took large contributions to work up enough money to start the guild for 135,000). Just thought I'd point some of this out... looks pretty interesting

At the moment to me it seems as if if you are going to invite a person to your guild you need to make shore that 1 the person you want to invite is the person that you want. 2 that the person invited is going to stay in your guild (or what ever the name is) and be active.

a lot of names/places/things in Aion dont seem to have much meaning.. they just make up stuff to make it sound foreign or (as in most cases) western.. region is supposed to be read as you would read latin; phonetically. im 100% sure it doesnt mean anything in korean, but yeah they probly would find a more suitable name for it in the english version :]

edit: oh yah forgot to explain; guilds in Aion are called 're-gi-on' as mentioned above lol

As March was saying, though, Qina seems to be the name of the currency, and leveling up those Stigmas sure costs a lot. That's a very good thing, though. Hell of a money-sink they thought up there.
