This should be an interesting reply, if an honest reply.
US was a test market, never taken seriously, or there would have been proper testing, customer support, and in game help out of the gates. Servers were overfilled from the start, limiting possible slots to reported box sales + 10%. Allowing for 3-8 hour wait times to login, leading to a quick loss of 23% subs becasue of the release issues, followed by another typical 27.5% after the first month due to game issues and money issues. Subs are down, logins are down, and NCSoft is quickly jumping ship. Aion was only a test for US, while EU was taken more seriously. Interesting marketing plan they had, not to mention it all being a test in waiting for Guild Wars 2. When Guild Wars 2 is released you will see a huge difference in the attitude NCSoft has, better customer support, and less programming issues.
Marketing Strategy was decent, however dishonest.
