Are you guys excited for preview weekend?! NCsoft was gracious enough to give us 300 Aion Beta Keys specifically for the AionSource community! These are NA beta keys and will last until the release of the game in North America.

We'll be doing the beta giveaway in two phases -- 150 keys each -- with the first starting today, and the next this coming Sunday.

I am really looking forward to the abyss and getting into the crafting. The flying will be awsome to use as a tactic in the abyss

What sets this game apart from other MMO's to me is the awsome character customization, your character can truely look unique. The graphics are beautiful and the art in the game is one of the best I have seen. The fighting style is an art all on its own. It makes the fight more interesting and very engaging.

Where do we actually reply? Because no one sure has replied here yet. Guess I'll go for it.

Elyos. I've recently played the more "evil" side characters and would like a change. I also played Asmodian in the Chinese version, so gotta switch it up.

Post the school you intend to start your journey with and why:
Warrior. I like the heavily armored tank or dps roles. I'll also be creating a Mage/Sorc later on.

Post the class you intend to play after you ascend to a Daeva:
Templar. I've always enjoyed tanking but haven't been able to do it as much as I'd like(other friends also enjoy it). So I'll be tanking it up this time.

Post the thing you look forward to MOST about Aion:
I'm an aspiring Air Force pilot so flight/aerial combat is something I definitely look forward to.

Post what you think sets Aion apart from other MMOs:
Next-gen(current-gen) graphics, aerial combat, characters that are more than human or typical fantasy races.

Guess I will post mine here.

I have been playing China version and I will remain as a Elyos. So far, I enjoy all schools and classes I have tried. However, I will start off mages and advance to sorcerer. Main reason is I enjoy all the flashy effect of sorcerer LOL.

I think I look forward the most about Aion is a full community that is English based and there will be more interactions between players thus makes the pvp and pve more fun.

The biggest part that set Aion apart would be the ability to create any character one desires. We wont look like army of clones anymore!! That aside, the ability to fly and fight is the icing on the cake!!

Other sites giving away keys take 10 seconds to do by emailing them, then people are randomly and fairly selected.

You make us jump through a crapload of hoops, then right at the end say you're giving all the keys to spammers and people who signed up over a year ago. Idiots.

Nice job, I liked the jab at Mark in the beginning too, making it look like he was the only thing holding back tonnes of wondrous events.

There used to be a time when companies like NC didn't even allow ads on fansites, I wonder how eager you would be to "restore faith" if that was the case today?

Race: Elyos

School: I'm choosing mage I like to nuke from afar, it was either mage or scout for the ranger class. But I'm excited about raising elementals.

Class: Spiritmaster, it seems to be one of the best soloable classes and I've always had a fondness for pet classes.

Looking forwards to: I look forwards to gathering and crafting as my main endeavors in game and dodging visiting Asmodians.

Post what you think sets Aion apart from other MMOs: Mostly the world of Atreia is so different from most game worlds I have seen, it is unique and original while still having that familiar fantasy feel to it. I like the idea of a more dynamic world where there's always something happening and running into the unexpected.

I intend to start as an Elyos Mage and then move onto a sorcerer when I become a deavia.
I chose to play Elyos as they were the first race reviled for Aion. They have a much brighter landscape than the dark Asmodian side.
I like to nuke and I like boom. From what I have read about the classes the sorcerer is the class to go for for nukeage and making things go boom.
The thing I most look forwards to is flying so very few MMOs give you the ability to fly. It is also the ability to fly that sets it apart from the other MMOs.

This is only the first contest. Sunday's may have more of a random drawing theme to it- we'll see. I think it would be fair to.

My Entry

I shall be an Asmodian - why? Well tbh I am asmodian because RageQuit is Asmodian. I think both the Elyos and Asmodians have attractive features and it is pretty much balanced in my eyes

I will be a scout, because in the past I have heavily played damage absorbing melee classes, and have dabbled in DPS casters, and healers before, so dps melee (read on) is a change. Variation is nice.

Assasin, for pretty much the same reason as stated above - ie to vary myself - I will play an Assasin because I havn't played a class of that type before really. My best gaming friend played a Ranger all the time in Guild Wars and he let me try it out on his account, but i felt it didn't suit me much.

While I am honestly looking forward to all parts of the game - everything about it looks better than all the games I have played in the past, I beleive the thing that really makes a game great is who you play it with. Aion would be no fun playing it alone, so because of that I have to say I am looking forward to playing Aion with my existing friends, and all the friends I have made on AionSource the most.

Not much - Aion is not a *clone* MMO, but nor is it innovative. What sets it apart is that it has, in my eyes, successfully managed to bring great aspects of many existing MMOs out there and bring it into one shiny package (rather than just saying they have, when they havn't like half the mmos being released currently). Also, pretty similar to my last response but it doesn't make it any less true - while there are the odd troll on the forums the playerbase does seem especially friendly, welcoming and intelligent. Edit: I also think that the PvP ranking system is great as it should keep me challenged after I have hit max level - it is always good to have something to work towards.

Why are you letting them selectively decide who gets keys (friends and people who suck up to the management) on a giveaway officially supported by you? Especially when all the other sites are giving them away fairly and without prejudice?
