NCsoft issues a quote concerning the Harvest Revel & another chance to upgrade to Collector's Edition!

Hey everyone-

There have been some questions and confusion about the Harvest Revel and what it entails. In order to clarify what to expect for Aion's first holiday event, we got a statement from NCsoft.

To further clarify, it is confirmed that this year's Harvest Revel is not a live event. What you can expect though is daily lore introducing everyone to what exactly the Harvest Revel is as well as free in-game items, which are always a bonus in my book.

Due to an internal error that caused availability of the Aion Collector’s Edition Upgrade to end early, we're restoring the ability to upgrade between 12:01 a.m. PDT on Thursday, October 29, 2009 to 11:59 p.m. PDT on Friday, October 30, 2009 (more). Please keep in mind that this will be the last opportunity you will have to upgrade to the Aion Collector's Edition.

During the above listed 48-hour period, upgrades to the Aion Collector's Edition will cost $10.00 USD (£10.00 / €10.00) and will include the digital in-game items found in the physical Aion Limited Collector's Edition box.

Exclusive in-game items included:

- Black Cloud Wings (gives 40 seconds of additional flight time)
- Black Cloud Earring (gives an HP and an MP boost)
- Special character title (Settler of Aion) with stat boost

Thank you NC! That is all I was asking for... A little disappointed theres no actual event, but atleast now I know I can stop expecting anything else besides the candies (which I do like)... I just wish all my characters could get them and not just the one that clicks the survey. :|

Well, the thing to remember here is Halloween is a very American holiday. We've had the game for only a month so having extra content outside of the Korean base is going to be difficult at this point. Christmas content exists within the client as we saw from last year, so I would expect a more festive holiday celebration out of that.

Time will tell if NCWest will be able to add or request more tailored holiday content for us over here.

For now, at least writing lore and giving out gifts is cool enough for me and I hope people don't hold it against them.

I have no problem with that, and I understand that it would be difficult, I'm a bit annoyed they didn't make it more clear from the start when they advertised it as 'undead raiding elyos villages, and a great hunt and celebration for asmo's.. etc etc.. starting on 25th'. Naturally this gave most people the impression this was actually going to be happening in the form of an event.

I think NCsoft is doing a great job since launch and prior to it, but I have noticed a few times, this time included of course, where they could have avoided problems or negative feedback such as people unhappy about no event, if they'd simply made themselves a bit more clear from the start. Anyway, the lore is good and the promise of events in the future is certainly something to look forward to.

I so hope future festivities will pull all the stops! :P Like, decorating the cities, providing mini-games and having costumes we can wear (not just transformation items)

I too felt like this Halloween would be a little early for such things. Here's hoping for some cool festivals in the future!

It will be great if they give us Christmas - think of all those freezing Elyos when it snows in Sanctum Anyway good that the halloween event was cleared up now though.
