Aion's critical noob hack?

Did you know Aion has the cheapest noob hack in mmorpg world?
Today, I have read the article from the famous korean Aion forum and I am pretty disappointed about the noob hack.

This hack was already introduced from other players who were playing in CN server.
Some of gamers said this hack has been used about 90% of lvl45 CN players and same as korean server.

Then, what does this noob hack do?
The noob hack has a function to increase your attack speed and movement speed about 10 times than usual speed.
Also, this noob hack does auto skill with motion cancelling which means you will get hidden damage every time between your enemies skill attack.
Ex. Enemy's skill1 - hidden weapon damage - Enemy's skill2 - hidden weapon damage - hidden weapon damage - Enemy's skill 3 (You will get all the damages even in 0.3 sec)

That means any players will die even in 3sec.



This hack costs about 20 dollar in US and it is already ruined on CN and Korean servers. In fact, many good players are already left the server with a huge disappointment at NCsoft company.

Then what does NC soft Korea do for this hack?

They actually do nothing much about it. They ban some of accounts but they are not even try to fix the problem in the client. For example, one of the Korean player post about this hack with the movie he actually used in the server. He's character was banned about 2 month ago, so, he just post to prevent this hack. However, NCsoft Korea say nothing and erase the guy's movie file. He called the company about erased post and they said that they erased cuz it's illegal post.

After all, both KR and CN servers are failed to make a clean and a nice AION server.

I want ask all the aionsource users about this hack and what NCsoft west should do about it for upcoming US/EU servers.

These videos are recently posted on korean forum and it was captured very latest day. The current version for Korean Aion is 1.2. which means GAME VERSION DOESN'T AFFECT ON HACK!!!

There's not much they CAN do, just ban people who use it.
These GM's won't be able to change the code, fix bugs etc. It's left to Korean devs.

There will be hacks in every game, there's no way around it. If you fix 1 hack a new 1 will be released. Just have to grin and hope when you report the players they are banned promptly.

Very true but still I think this is kinda a serious hack, they don't just get tons of cash for epic gear but this makes you go WTF when you die in a unfair fight. I hope it will be fixed asap Let's have some fait in devs since they got a new MMORPG which always leads to bugs / hacks.

Wow, you've been living under a rock, then. Hacks are just as common as bots, they're just less visible to the average player. And most people who make them keep it private, so that the management doesn't know enough to fix it. Every game on the market right now has a hacker actively exploiting mistakes in the code, I guarantee it.

Although, honestly, 90%? I don't think so. 90% of any online community is too stupid to recognize a hack when their level 50 Templar is instakilled by a level 25. They'll just say 'ZOMG, lag' or whatever lame excuse is normal in your part of the world. It's probably closer to 5 or 10%, and they've become very visible players due to their overwhelming advantage.

That sounds like a L2 player or an old school EQ player talking. Rampant hacking is not the norm for a vast majority of MMOs out currently. Many games run server checks to validate player input so that the client can't just send whatever it wants to the server. This is a product of bad development. In EQ you could warp to any location by simply sending a message to the server essentially saying "No, I am here". There is a distinct difference between hacking and exploiting. Although both are against the EULA, the former is much more serious as it's usually harder to address. Exploiting occurs in every MMO, hacking (on a mass scale) does not.

I also hope NCSoft West takes a proactive stance against this. It appears that they are initially (at least their attitude going into it seems good).

Well it is also the norm for the Asian community. I am not offending anyone here it is a simple fact. On their servers no one bothers to ban the people botting or selling gold. In the US /EU this is seen as a scandal and everyone helps to remove these people. Another thing its not Ncsoft who is taking care of the Asian community.

In the end the real blame is the people who use these thing things and not the game or the developers.

same thing was on C-AION server which I played and quit.
we called it "speedhack" - its a function in a bot which maximize ur attack speed 10 times. And yes - u die even b4 u realize that u've been attacked.
also there is another "speedhack" which we (our party) saw in action: when you chase another character (we were with chanter 10% movement speed buff + scrolls (30% speed) + shoes (20% speed) = 60% movement speed ) and we couldt get him (he was only with 30% speed scroll + I assume 20% shoes = which makes only 50% of speed). but funny thing is that he was running from us like we would stand still

and it wasnt only 1 time, many times.

All those reasons made us quit and now we truly believe thats not gonna happen on EU/NA server.

As far as i heard, the code been fixed in one of the patches and the speed hack is only possible in C-Aion since they refuse to update the client and are still running 1.0.
